I think this baby has turned into a breech position.

sweetheart · 20/10/2005 16:58

ninah - you'd be sooo proud of me. I went into the dentist at lunchtime to book an appointment Wasn't I brave!!!

Luckily the woman said their nhs list is now closed and there is only 1 place in my town which are still taking nhs people on. Apparently their waiting list is 8 week! Oh well, never mind!!!!!

george32 · 20/10/2005 17:00

These Dec babies just don't like lying with their heads down do they!
Bum in the air for you tonight too then Expat?

Mine decided to shove some part of it out by my belly button whilst I was shopping earlier. People must think I'm barmy wandering around muttering "stop it, that hurts, stop poking me"

Nemo666 · 20/10/2005 17:28

DQ adam was breech until 34wks so used to spend as much time as possible on all fours, somtimes lying over the ball..lol Sorry but i do think you will be first..lol

Oooo did i tell you all about my vivid dream last night...I went into labour with just adam in the house at about 1pm in afternoon. Thought I had ages etc but never ended up giving birth alone with adam to a little girl 8lb7ozs on 17th dec and we called her eleanor[not even a name i had considered]

dramaqueen72 · 20/10/2005 18:14

bloody hell all babies up wrong way! the thugs! do they KNOW what it can do to your (already non exsistant) pelvic floor if you give birth to one upside down???????? or how much more it could hurt!!!!!! or how i cant even find a midwife who'll attend a vag breech birth and will have to ahve a dr (blurgh -drs!)
right well may start linking you lovely ladies to some of the breech site i found last night. i mean, one thing to turn them involves lying on an ironing board at a certain angle.............. beats ironing on it anyhow dh is really really going to think i've lost it now. hoping to come across something at the baby show too. someones just told me to have sex on all fours to move baby......this is quite a funny picture. right now.
nemo, be careful of those dreams may be telling you something....how far away IS help/someone else if you go into labour when dh is working? my inlaws have just told they are away first week of dec. and they are my childminders for labour!!!! so i cant have it then. and i will NOT BE FIRST!
spider biscuit recipe? who wanted that? will post it later on, or email whoever you were
george you made me chuckle. i also talk to bump....and get funny looks in supermarket. speaking of which -talking to bumps- one site last night said to speak to your baby and ask ti to turn. aha. if my other children are anything to go by this wont make a blind bit of difference, infact it may turn sideways to spite me then.......................
ninah, I wasnt much help but i am thinking of you and wishing you an easier time of it. ((hugs))

Nemo666 · 20/10/2005 18:18

DQ if dh is in work it would take him 30-40mins to get back at the quickest as he would have to organise cover..lol
Other people who are close are pil but that depends if fil is out playing golf as mil doesnt drive so again would be 40mins...lol Think its just because adams labour was 90mins and i was told as soon as i get pains to sort out going to hospital...lol Although obviously we will have to wait for someone to turn up to have adam etc...

Nemo666 · 20/10/2005 18:28

george meant to say re cot bumpers..I didnt bother with adam. They say dont put them up when baby could roll into them and smother..which means from 2/3mths onwards. Didnt se the point. Instead we got this anti roll ducks from vertbaudet think they were about £6 but fantastic as it stopped the panic about adam rolling over and smothering..also great as he liked to lie on his side more than back. Will try and find a link.

flutterbee · 20/10/2005 19:24

Hi all,
Bit late on today been feeling exhausted all day, don't know why I feel like I slept well last night apart from the toilet breaks.
Talking of babies bedding as evryone was earlier, where would be the best place to get some sheets etc without having to pay ridiculous prices, I refuse to pay £10 ofr one terry sheet.

Nemo666 · 20/10/2005 19:28

flutterbee are u in the north???? If so either home n bargain or tj hughes is another good place.

flutterbee · 20/10/2005 19:30

Was up north nemo, just moved to the south east coast Polegate

Nemo666 · 20/10/2005 19:32

ermm what about tecos or asda..they should do sheets reasonably.

george32 · 20/10/2005 19:41

Nemo, have you got shares in Home & Bargain???

No, no, no, I am not giving birth to a baby feet first!! I have spoken sternly to my little one & it will be moving round shortly otherwise no more chocolate.

dramaqueen72 · 20/10/2005 20:11

george -they are usually bottom first, with legs folded up by chest -can you imagine pushing that out??????????????? nope, head first or not coming out. and i'm asking mine nicely. alot. also have just had deeeeeeeeeeeeeep bath -to the point where I nearly flooded bathroom once in it- as have read sitting in water increases fluid around baby (more fluid the easier to turn round in it) whatever it takes i'm right there doing it!!!
flutter- mothercare were better priced for two than john lewis was for one -iyswim!- but then again often teh more expensive ones wsh up fluffier and softer...... dont buy moses basket size bedding BTW, buy flat sheets for a cot and fold them, or use pillow cases(adult sized ones!) over the matresssmoses basket/crib bedding is sooooooooooo quickly outgrown. and imo you can never have enough bedding - nothing like 3am when the babys been sick across bedding and you dont have any clean left.........
nemo, have home and thingy got a website? maybe we can track them down via their stockist or something. maybe 'us southerners' call them by something else...........you've made me all jealous now!

ei23monster · 20/10/2005 21:54

DQ home and bargain might be called t.j morris down south as thats the name of their warehouse etc! my sis used to work for them and was surprised that you lot had not heard of them!!
