dramaqueen72 · 27/10/2005 13:28

oh fabulous s/h! thats just what I needed to hear, that my photo shocked you!. its not a very good one and finally had my hair done so maybe I wont be too scary on the meet up. i think you should post a pic, even a blurry one
leaking breasts??? such lunch time conversation
yes and no, not leaking but very full, should I poke or squeeze them its there but not at the dripping stage yet

ThomBat · 27/10/2005 13:39

Haven't been around for ages, sorry and hello to you all.
I just feel too daunted to catch up with what's going on with everyone and end up just going away again, but this time thought I'd just say hi and not even try to catch up with you all, sorry!

The midwife popped in last night to takea sample of my blood to check my iron and make sure I'm not anemic. Feel so, so tired, like I've been drugged but sure my iron levels are fine, it's just part & parcel of life and having a 4 yr old with special needs who doesn't stand or walk and working 4 days a week etc. Have my active birth class tonight and then meeting D for dinner at Pizza Express, Lottie staying at her nana's tonight, so looking forward to that.

Bought our double buggy, tripp trapp highchair and new cot mattress on order. This weekend we're going to try and start making a dent in getting nursey cleared of some of the 1000's of records and decks, and mixing desk and musical equipment etc!!! Then just have to get carpet cleaned, buy wardrobe and chest of drawers and room done really, well the bulk of it, then it's into the loft for all the baby stuff being stored there.

Think D has sort of got his head round the possibility of a home birth and now I'm on at him, in a gentle way, to be the one to actually be theone who 'catches' the baby and bring him or her into the world! LOL!

Hope you are all ok, love TC xxx

ei23monster · 27/10/2005 13:51

hello all
Sh I am thinking about your exam. think it might be worth having friendly chat with local college just to see if there's any provision they can make, maybe through their Student Support services - stuff the exam board if that's their response.
nemo I'm PANICKING like crazy. There;s no way I can face signing off with a countdown, I'm freaking!
Also hate have pic taken but will have a good look at the rest of you

ei23monster · 27/10/2005 13:54

about the leaky boobies- i posted last week about my crazy surprise milk expressing so im in the club with the breast-padded ladies!!

sweetheart · 27/10/2005 14:51

DQ - when I said I was shocked by your pic I meant it a good way. I don't want to sound horrible but I had imagined you as looking quite alot older with long dark hair (an earth mother type) and also being larger than you are! Did you ever watch Home and Away years ago - there was a woman called Pippa who used to foster 100's of kids - I thought of you looking a bit like her. I've probably totally offended you now!!!!!!

Just been to the pub for lunch with a colleague after quite a stessful morning at work. I'm now feeling totally stuffed. Still, it will have to last for a while as I'm off to have my eyelashes tinted and permed straight after work.

sweetheart · 27/10/2005 14:51

Oh and no leaky boobs here - I don't even think there is any milk in them yet!

Jaysfirst · 27/10/2005 15:13

LOL SH, seems like the hle you're digging is getting deeper, i am glad i am not the only one that does that! DQ's pics were lovely, as were all the other ladies from December, just need peeps to repost them now!

re leaking boobs....i had a tiny bit of what must have been colustrum(sp)the other morning, but other than than, nothing... i dont want to be sharing in EI's experience ( so funny !!) but how do you know, other than leaking, that you do have some milk in there?

BTW.. I noticed your thread Thombat, but couldn't understand why TC and not TB? Hiya anyway!

Off to make some more spider cakes now for Halloween, ones i made last week DH ate them.....

Nemo666 · 27/10/2005 16:40

JF with adam i didnt get leaking or anything but bf for 3wks. Believe me 3/4 days after birth you will know the milk has come in

george32 · 27/10/2005 16:55

Hi TC, probably the best thing to do as we certainly can chat when we get going! I like to hear how you are getting on.

LOL SH, how do you have your eyelashes permed?

I've searched & searched but there are NO photos of me anywhere on my computer. Oh dear!
I looked through this years and there isn't one of me!! Probably because I was feeling a bit miserable at the time and everyone though better than shoving a camera in my face!
If I can get DP to take one I'll put it on [brave emoticon!]

ninah · 27/10/2005 16:56

oh flipping heck sh Pippa from Home and Away oh dear! thank god my injection's worn off from dentist and I can laugh!

ninah · 27/10/2005 16:56

god didn't notice the curly eyelashes either, yes how?

flutterbee · 27/10/2005 16:57

Really realy pissed off this afternoon

At the hospital the other day I was told I needed to make and appointment at the GP's tell them ablout the possible infection and do another wee sample whilst there for them to send off to the hospital (they gave me the little bag thing with my details on for it to go in). So had an appointment today at 3.40, left the house at 3.20 without having a wee so that I knew I would be able to do one there. Got to the Dr at 3.30 and then sat waiting till 4.10 to be seen, I was in agony where I needed to wee so much. So I go into the Dr and she looks at me like I'm mad and tells me that there is nothing she can do for me and that I am to go home do the sample and drop it in at reception tomorrow for them to post to the hospital, she then gave me a bottle and sent me on my way. Anyway I didn't come home but nipped in there toilets straight away and did the sample and left it at reception. I now have a horrible burning Cystitis like feeling from where I held my wee for so long and feel really really really really pissed off

ninah · 27/10/2005 17:12

signed up specifically to see your pics dq, the ones I missed on email and the 'Not Pippa' one, can't find them? will I have to wait til 17th Nov?! oh dear

ninah · 27/10/2005 17:12

flutterbee · 27/10/2005 17:18

OK I have moved my pics from photobucket onto the Yahoo account, I'm going to get my brother to take a few of me and DH this weekend and load them straight on so you can all see my big fat tummy which everyone keeps commenting on is very very low.

Jaysfirst · 27/10/2005 17:22

bloody doctors...... i sympathsise have been having issues with my GP too...grrrrr

Make sure you crink plenty of water flutter, am sure you wont have cystits but wont do you any harm in drowning it out..

Have made some cakes (and a mess in the kitchen ) Lord while i was at the sink doing some washing up i suddenly felt 'wetness on the inside of my ankle...fearing that the unimaginable was happeninng, i rushed ( well as rushed as i can do) to the loo to check...cra*ing myself in case waters had gone...when i got there i saw that there was a fair bit of water on the front of my skirt...LOL what i hadnt realised is that id swished water over myself while washing up and that it had managed to seep through my skirt then drip onto my ankle.....good lord i was releived, laughing, and almost crying at the same time... bit of a shock!!

flutterbee · 27/10/2005 17:35

LOL that's cheared me up Jay, sound slike the kind of thing I would have done every twinge I have I make a mental note of the time and what it felt like just incase....
