hey Ebbie, i think that most peeps are cool, i am 31 wks today so feeling quite scared but very excited...lord knows how i am going to feel in a few more weeks.. i just dont know where all the time is going. We dont seem to have anything much else to do re the baby, DH was very organised about everything, and the nursery has been redecorated and recarpeted for abuot two mths now. Cotbeds there, shelving units, storage, chair, changer ... all done, i just keep adding to the clothes!
Bad choice on dinner tonight i feel, i made a really good chilli, from scratch, non of the jar stuff... i thought id do it so as to monitor the strength... pah no such luck.... am now eating gavisco for desert instead of the pple pie that DH is scoffing!!!!

Jaysfirst · 28/10/2005 21:28

expatinscotland · 28/10/2005 21:29

Swelling still bad, but bp is stable. Here's hoping this lasts! Next check on Thursday for 34 week appointment.

Whoa! 34 weeks! Means baby could potentially be here in just over 4 weeks?!

Went into labour w/DD at 38 weeks+2 days.

flutterbee · 28/10/2005 21:41

I have heartburn too Jay I had a very very mild chicken curry for dinner and then had to have a Gavilast tablet (can't stand the liquid) for pudding should kick in any time now.

bonkerz · 28/10/2005 23:02

HI all, Will admit that i havent read the thread and am totally lost as wto whats happened so yet again need idiots guide to please!!!

Am now home again. thursday was everything we wanted it to be. There were over 100 people who walked behind the hearse carrying my mum and it was a sight to be seen! Then the procession from the church to the cemetary was amazing and also when we realeased 19 balloons into the sky! I knwo that my mum would have been amazed at just how many people loved her and will miss her!

Unfortunately today has been a nightmare and has involved police and a mad dash to remove all mums items from her house due to my mums lodgers changing the locks and trying to prevent access! Police had to be called as fights broke out BUT after nearly 7 hours we removed everything that had memories and anything valuable from the property! All the stuff is now in storage to be sold at a later date to purchase mums head stone!! Strangely it was not family causing the trouble but unrelated people!!

Feel very drained. Am dreading having to start living again and am not sure im coping very well. Have lots of stuff planned to help occupy me but i am feeling so weird and the smallest things set me off.

Alex has settled into a routine of waking at 4.45am and again at 8.45 am and she pushes and kicks for a good 30 mins. My hips are worse and tablets really not helping anymore and ball tends to hurt at moment too. will make appointment to see midwife thursday to get more help!!

not sure what else to say. Thanks all of you for the support and thoughts. It really has meant alot to me.
Now i need idiots guide to whats gone on pleeeeeese.

ei23monster · 28/10/2005 23:27

I want my baby!!!!!

george32 · 29/10/2005 10:06

Hi all,
DQ, sorry you were feeling so down yesterday. It has been a long week for you with half term & then your DH being in the accident. No wonder you were a bit low. Hope you feel better today.

Bonkerz, the funeral sounds wonderful (sounds peculiar I know) with so many people and the balloons. It must be so nice to know that your mum was so loved by so many people. In time the memories that make you sad at the moment will make you smile & you will be so glad for all the time you had with your mum. Take things as slowly as you like, you've no rush and crying is good for you so do as much of that as you like.
{{{{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}

Off shopping for baby things (yes, that was baby things!! ) today. Painting the nursery tomorrow, furniture is being del'd on Thursday (I love John Lewis!), carpet down the following week. It happened, I'm finally getting prepared!!

george32 · 29/10/2005 10:23

Oh, I knew I shouldn't. I've had a look at the thread that got you wound up yesterday DQ. GRRRR
Please someone chop my fingers off so I don't post.
