its amazing how hyper alert you are to the baby..you will probably hear it.
I know that if adam moves around too much i wake up still and used to be like sonic hearing when he would sniffle or whimper in his sleep..lol

sweetheart · 25/10/2005 11:23

I remember the 1st night dd slept through. Dh and I layed in bed arguing over who was going to check if she was still breathing.

Nemo666 · 25/10/2005 11:24

lol sh we did that as adams first full sleep from 10pm-8am in his own bedroom was new years eve 2003...arghhh it was bliss but horrible as i couldnt rest..kept checking monitor was working etc

george32 · 25/10/2005 11:39

So ear plugs & super-sense it is then.
Thanks guys.

Nemo, hope you don't mind, have just e-mailed you.

Nemo666 · 25/10/2005 11:55

thanks for the email george.

george32 · 25/10/2005 11:59

Help.....I'm nesting!! I'm actually cleaning windows. That can't be right surely???

I think I need a self-cleaning house. The problem with being at home is that you can see the dirt all day. When I was at work I could pretend it wasn't there for most of the time!

Nemo666 · 25/10/2005 12:09

lol goerge i thought that yesterday when i was cleaning the bathroom tiles...i mean the tiles fgs..lol They go floor to ceiling in our bathroom. However with adam i nested from about 10wks so dont think its anything to worry about.

george32 · 25/10/2005 12:16

The trouble is, if you do one bit it shows up that the rest of them are filty!!
If only I'd left well alone!

ninah · 25/10/2005 12:57

george32 · 25/10/2005 13:19

You mean you haven't been hit by the awful cleaning bug yet???
I wish I could stop but I keep noticing more I should do. I'm tired, my back hurts and all I can think of is cleaning the floor. I have turned into a freak!!!

Are you all prepared then Ninah?

george32 · 25/10/2005 13:20

well am back from the mw.

Bleeding is nothing to worry about unless it's heavy or doesn't stop.

Baby is 1/5th engaged already and measuring slightly bigger than dates should be about 34.5 inches but was measuring 36! Dh is convinced this baby is coming early, if things carry on like this he may well be right.

mw said head is engaged a bit early but not to worry about it. Had Anti D and it hurt like hell!!!!

Jaysfirst · 25/10/2005 14:54

Hi all!!

Jaysfirst · 25/10/2005 14:57

SH :O oooer scarey stuff!!! i have my second anti D in two weeks, first one hurt so am sure the second one wil be just as bad!

scully · 25/10/2005 14:59

Shame ei, sounds like me on Sunday night, so frustrating when you are tired & you know you're going to feel even worse in the morning.....
Hope things improve for you Nemo, everything is heightened when we're pregnant, hard to know what's happening sometimes. When it's not your first as well, and you have no time to yourself, & no money for the occassional treat, can make it seem all that much harder. My dh is currently not working, he's looking for another job and in the meantime doing loads around the house. I'm happy the diy is getting down, and he's doing a lot of the housework with me out of the house 11-12hrs a day with work and nursery pick up and drop off, but some days it's hard not to stress about the lack of funds coming in. Men don't really vocalise their stress, whereas I think most women do (& need to). Oh well, it will sort itself out in the long run I'm sure
Just wish work wasn't quite so hectic right now, don't have time to think about all the other things I need to get done, ahhh

ei23monster · 25/10/2005 16:37

had a little go at a doze on the couch but it didnt go very well as i ended up watchin a stupid film on the hallmark channel an then did some washin and cleaned out the last cupboard in the kitchen that needed doin!! i suppose at least thats less for me to worry about tomorrow!! im goin for lunch with my best mate tomorrow as we havent seen eachother for ages so wev got alot to catch up on!!
i did my tp and iv gone DOWN a whole sheet!! im 8 sheets now!! but then again everyone has commented on how low my bump has gone so maybe its further into my pelvis that last week- it feels it aswell (im walkin like john wayne!!)

hey ladies. s/h -dd2 was engaged then not then was......she kept floating in and out LOL! so dont count that as a may go early sign, wel not a worry over it sign I mean, if you want the baby to hurry then you count it!!!
crazy day here today.
I finished my fireplace stageone. fabulous, nearly killed mysefl in the process, but hey theres nothing more determined than a pg lady!!!! it has been stripped, sanded, wirewooled, white spirt washed, and woodworm treated. now has to 'sit' for a day or so before coming indooors from garage, (to take up most of free space in here!dh is going to love me.......)and then be fine sanded and stained.
THEN my daddy (I only call him that when i need something.............) is taking a few days off work to help install it to sitting room wall, removing other fireplace at the same time. i promised dh it wouldnt make any mess. PMSL over that rash statement!!!
now having bored you all with how to do up a fireplace...LOL
then panic over baby, who hadnt shifted all morning. so did the 'ignore it' and tried to not think about it.......nope, nothing still, so did sugary drink lie down aond side.........and bingo, baby grumbled and moved over abit. not alot tho. its ANY movement that counts right? god, ffs, I shall be grey at the end of this pg. its all worry isnt it?
on top of this its half term (have i mentioned that??????????????????LOL) and have moody sttroppy teen and preteen under feet.
save me someone.
ninah, sorry you couldnt see my 4d piccies. you'll just have to believe me that they were quite cute!
nemo, have a ((hug)), dhs can really getus down cant they. and money and christmas and babies coming......you moan away girl.

flutterbee · 25/10/2005 19:22

Hi Ladies,

Well I went to the hospital today for my growth scan and they told me that the baby is of an average weight (yay) but doeas seem to be quite long, which is why everyone kept telling me I was having a big baby as the tape measure is about as usefull at a chocolate teapot for estimating size.
However they also did another wee sample because of my infection from last week and they found traces of sugar, so I have to have the Glucoze test AGAIN as if once wasn't enough, really really unhappy
So next Thurs I am up early to go in for that and then in the evening I have my first baby class, luckily I mentioned it to the mw as they seemed to have forgotten about me and if I hadn't then I would have had to wait till Dec for the next set of classes to start, not much good when I'm due then, I can imagine giving all the expectent mums a real life practical on giving birth
Having been looking through the Now thread I think we should all start signing off with our weeks gone total then we can all get an idea of exactly when we are due what with it nearly being November now. What do you all think?

Jaysfirst · 25/10/2005 20:00

aw flutter, sorry to hear about your glucose episode its all such a worry isnt it. Am sure you will be fine love, fingers crossed for you. Seems to me that MF all over the country forget about telling you things, i had the same with mine re classes, although once she remembered she did the calling round for me and got me enrolled!
I went to Marks and Spencers today and got a real bargin on a gorgeous pair of denims and hippy type stripy hooded cardi.... had to go to mothercare then and find the most cutest smock' type top that just had to be bought as it went with the jeans!! I cant stop buying things .......ah well you only have your first baby once!!
How is everyone else? ei,i am with you on the no sleep game, its ot much fun is it, i often find myself watching night time crap tele and wishing i could be more mobile so i could do something more constructive with the time!!
ont worry sculy, you will soon be on your mat leave and wondering where all the time has gone! Sounds like you have a good dp there, maybe he needs to go into his own DIY business?
Havent mentioned everyone but all those of you that are feeling blue, you re not on your own really and truely, i have days when i cry for no reason at all, or for the very least thing. I wonder about how good a mum i will be, wether i will cope with al the demands, how will i know when she needs something.... then theres the whole issue surrounding will i survive motherhood by not working, how will i feel about not having my own income etc etc. The list is endless really but at the end of the day i guess we all get there in the end and all our worries are small (although justified) in the big scheme of things!!
oh and flutter i love the idea o signing ing off with out wekks total, its like ' let the countdown commence!!!!!' xxx

Jaysfirst · 25/10/2005 20:17

i did love the idea honestly!!!!!
