Morning ladeez.

Still grinning like Grin over MiniGin. Can't wait for a full update.

Kate will you get a bloody move on! I don't know about everyone else but I don't feel we've had our full quota of laying just yet. Good news that you're still on for the HB too.

Scorps your poor, poor head. Are you feeling a bit better today? Sounds dreadful.

Twinks YEY for the scan & another pink flava. I'm starting to wish I knew my flava now. I can't call Bug "it", & have subconsciously started referring to uh, it as "him". I think I'm going to be quite shocked if MW says congratulations, you have a girl.

Popped into town on Sat for a little mosey around. Bought some more maternity clothes - H&M were rubbish, but Next came up trumps. Also made myself panic looking around Mothercare & John Lewis. We still haven't bought anything & I just went into panic mode about knowing where to start. Ah well.

Bug was very lazy yesterday & only a few mild flutters. Until I had a bath. S/he went crazy! I actaully saw my tummy move, which was the strangest thing I think I've ever seen Grin

This morning I got up a bit too quickly & my head didn't quite follow. Whilst carrying my breakfast into the lounge (we live in town house) I tripped up the stairs & threw my coffee & bowl of Special K down the wall & - well, everywhere really. So I was scrubbing the walls down at 6am. Great. I feel absolutely fine now - think I was just in too deep a sleep when alarm went. But I have MW this afternoon so can check BP. What a pallava!

I do like these new emoticons. Think I'll have a Brew & dunk a Biscuit.

rocketleaf · 14/02/2011 08:57

Aw that's no good muse well the card is but the puke not. Hope you had a hand bag handy.

My freind had her little boy by CS this morning at about 1 am. Don't know the details but 3 days of labour and no sleep must have just knackered her out too much. they are both fine and he is 'perfect' apparently :) can't wait to meet the little fella!

rocketleaf · 14/02/2011 09:02

Soz x post there loz I know the nesting instinct is sposed to kick in strong around now but you're supposed to redecorate with paint, you know? Wink

Been having a few fuzzy heads and seeing fairies episodes myself recently if I get up too quickly. Hope alls well at MW appoint, got mine on Thursday.

laurielou · 14/02/2011 09:06

Ah, how sweet of Bob to remind you that he's around Smile Hope you're OK.

Rocket Grin at "seeing fairies". My BP has been fine until now, I'm sure it still will be. Think I was just half asleep. Hope you're OK too. Lovely news about your friend too.

Muser · 14/02/2011 09:18

Oh dear, I think in that situation I would have been calling on the Mr to clean up laurie. Play the pathetic pregnant lady card!

Hope your BP is ok and it's just a still being asleep thing. I'd probably do that while not-pregnant and wide awake, but I am quite clumsy.

I am feeling better having eaten some of the cereal bars that are meant to be for the hospital bag. Unlike the early puking, this resurgence is definitely lack of food related. I am trying to remember that Ina May says puking is a good thing as it helps move the baby down and out.

rocketleaf · 14/02/2011 09:23

Christ muse I have just realised you only have about two weeks before your EDD. How did that happen! I agree with you About the spillage clearing, think I would have been tempted to 'drop the P bomb' as TB calls it. :)

CluckyKate · 14/02/2011 09:31

Nope - no laying happening here....beginning to feel like a broken record [grump]

More off-roading with Boxer today, reflex lady first.

Big Valentine fail for MrCluck, not even a card, car broken down & going into menders tomorrow so feeling bit weepy & sorry for myself today - feel free to slap me.

Hooray for tummy contortions LoobyLou - babies like it when Mummy is happy and relaxed Smile

All this talk of finances puts me to shame. I take the ostrich approach to managing my money.....and I'm an accountant Blush. Am good an managing multi-million pound budgets though so is a chore to have to do my own Hmm

Muser · 14/02/2011 09:32

Two weeks yesterday rocket. No idea how that happened. Yesterday evening and still today I have been feeling Bob drop down further. It is very disconcerting. I keep thinking he/she is going to fall out.

Ariesgirl · 14/02/2011 11:28

Morning everyone. Sorry to wade in. Lozza, do you remember how much your reflexology was?

Two weeks, Muse?

PollyPoo · 14/02/2011 11:48

Blimmin 'eck Muse... two weeks!!! Squee!

rocketleaf · 14/02/2011 11:51

muse just remember to check your knickers every time you sneeze, you might find a baybee in there! :o

LadyGoneGaga · 14/02/2011 11:51

Aw Kate. Valentine's fail for MrG too and car is also at menders. Maybe will get a love;y surprise tonight? Teeth sucking and talk of potential head gaskets at menders. Am also feeling bit sorry for self but you must be going spare! Have you had a sweep offered/done?

Can't believe only two weeks left for our Muse as well - with about 400 posts to go the thread title could indeed be portentous.

Got 20 week scan appt through - 2 weeks on Friday. Eeek! How did THAT happen?

Next clothes arrived and all nice and also lovely friend gave me a big bag of mat clothes too so wardrobe looking less barren now.

And...bought moses basket from closing down sale. £35 off a M&P one. bargain. Just need stand.

OP posts:
Scorpette · 14/02/2011 12:57

Eeeeep, less than a fortnight - theoretically - for Muser and Drom Shock Time literally bloody flies, dunnit?! Boo-hiss to the puke - perhaps Bob really hates all things romantic and schmaltzy and already has Firm Opinions about Valentine's Day... ?

Sorry about your spillage, lovely Lozenge. I have low BP, so know how wiggy that can feel. Is usually not serious, but as with everything in pg, is good to ask your MW when you see her (and you, Rocket).

TYF saw The Lad kick for the first time last night - just a kind of big 'twitch' under my belly button, but he was mesmerised and stared at my tum for ages trying to coax him to do it again. He'd previously been freaked out by the thought of seeing him move, so was lovely that he was so excited by the actuality. I couldn't see it, cos was under bump, but I have seen it once and it really is odd (but cool), isn't it?
PS My head has been a lot better - just 'average' headaches since, ta for asking :)

Yay for your pal, Rocky. She must be knackered but over the moon :)

Kate, might you get a card tonight? Me and TYF always exchange them at night if it's a work day. And I always have to remind him, so there's no harm in hinting to your DH (or Cap'n Cluckers, as I like to think of him Grin). So sorry there's no laying action yet - are you sure you're not hanging on till May to get in a cluster with me, Loz and Rocket?!

A big snog, giant heart-shaped box of chocs and a huge padded Forever Friends card to all ESH from me XXXX Whaddyamean someone's taken a bite out of most of them? I hope you're not accusing ME... ! Wink

milanomum · 14/02/2011 13:16

Much love to all the ESH from me too. ummm, I can offer a bit of Cadbury's Caramel (may I just add which didn't from The Italian Stallion today, though I did get a soppy text which will have to do).

scorps just "awwwwwww", that's all.

Kate, maybe instead of a card etc you'll get a baybee before the day is out? Surely someone has offered you a sweep - I'm sure the PESH could help out if necessary.

Loz Cereal-drenched walls are the new bug thing from what I hear. 6am is kind of early though to expect to be fully functional, isn't it? I was cleaning too this morning, and de-cluttering and... even polishing... - hello nesting instinct!

gaggylady what does one have to do to get people to give away their old maternity clothes? I 'need' new things. Things in general.

muse and drom 2 more weeks and then lots of these Wine Wine Wine Grin oh, and a baby of course.

milanomum · 14/02/2011 13:17

You've all got me worrying about finances now. I feel like I need to go out and buy new stationery to write numbers in and then forget about after 2 days.

owlbooty · 14/02/2011 13:23

2 more weeks! Bloody hell.

GG you are streets ahead of me in the purchasing stakes. I am not doing anything until I have heard hb again - hopefully on Thurs. Someone at work said today that I was looking thinner. Eh? No! Not thinner!

Lozza thank feck it wasn't tomato soup. Take it easy, lovely.

Muser · 14/02/2011 13:31

Damn, I was so convinced Bob was moving on down but I am still getting booted really high up. Maybe I have an incredibly long baby?

Scorpette · 14/02/2011 13:35

Baby giraffe?

rocketleaf · 14/02/2011 13:48

Booty don't worry, I got thinner again between 12 And 16 weeks, lost the bloating round my middle (which was all my 'bump' actuslly was) and also lost a few pounds. It then started coming back after 17 ish. Think you were saying you lost a bit of weight cos fatty food kicks off your indigestion? Or am I confused? (is very likely)

Medee · 14/02/2011 14:29

we were looking at the bump photos MrM has been taking through the pregnancy, and there is definite fluctuation up and down from week to week, especially in the middle.

PollyPoo · 14/02/2011 15:03

Bob is prolly kicking you in order to push him/herself down Muse. Wink

rocketleaf · 14/02/2011 15:07

A friend of mine was telling me the other day that when she was pregnant with her daughter she would be sitting in work and suddenly have to lean to one side, she wouldn't be able to straighten up at all for 5 minutes. It happened while she was at the MW and she said it was the baby stretching and using her rib cage as leverage :D A bit like a cat with use the bottom stair to stretch against. Proper weird!!!

Casserole · 14/02/2011 15:11

L was still kicking me really high even when his head was practically down at my knees, Muse . And he WAS long! So could just be that. Or, like Polly says, Bob's just taking a run up Wink

I am walking like John Wayne. I am also slightly concerned that I may go to wipe after a wee and find a head looking up at me (now THERE'S an image) and I've still got ages! L went low down really early and it seems this one is too - and this one's measuring long, too. So perhaps you're just growing Bob nice and tall :)

owlbooty · 14/02/2011 15:20

Blimey, looks like Bob is going to be a giant.

Yes, roquette , tis me that feels sicky when presented with fatty food. Am glad it is not just me doing random weight fluctuation. Am disappointed at bump being entirely bloat and flatulence. Damnit.

rocketleaf · 14/02/2011 15:30

Dont be, it'll soon reappear :o right about now your womble will get too big to be contained by your pelvis and will suddenly jump out at you, instabump stylee :o

I have finally got around to posting a picture of my bump and 20 week scan if anyone wants a gander.
