angels I like that one too - am having the thank yous made in that "tag" style and looks really nice. I think they say even a mobile phone picture is good so if you have s smart phone you can just email it from the hosp! I'm trying to do as much as poss now for the same reason as you. Love paperchase - u could get those cards with a little window for an actual photo they sell but then you'd have to get photos printed and actually write all the cards (depends how many you think you will send - we need 50ish so no way am I writing them!)

smallblackflowers · 12/01/2011 16:22

jack lovely to hear that your little girls are home with you now.

Shock at the already very big babies.

I got photo cards done last time and they wend down really well. I sent them out about a month and a half after DD was born though, and used them as thank you cards too. I expect I'll do the same again.

Had a lovely snooze on the sofa this afternoon, but now feel that I have wasted the day, as have loads to do. Found some really nice wooden stacking toy boxes in the charity shop this morning, that I need to clean and move out of the hallway before the decorator arrives in the morning, and I need to sort through a load of old baby girl clothes to lend to a friend that I am meeting tomorrow morning too. Best get onto it now!

40Weeks · 12/01/2011 16:56

Oooh very Envy of snooze SBF. And also of the reflexology Angels. I could really do with that, might have to book a session in Although have also seen some lovely boots that I want to buy. I dont really need them but you know there are just some shoes that you have to have?!?!

tadjennyp · 12/01/2011 17:19

Lovely news about your girls jack! Also a bit Envy of the lovely birth announcements already being done!

snowangels1 · 12/01/2011 18:42

40weeks I can't even fit into any of my shoes any more my feet are so big - I can now only manage an old tatty pair of slip on red trainer style shoes that are extremely unattractive but I have no option, so any talk of new shoes and I'm extremely Envy

roundthehouses · 12/01/2011 18:47

congrats on getting your girls home jack (i de-lurked just after you had the girls so you probably don´t know me but congrats anyway!). Are they keeping you busy? Wink

got as far as buying a couple of maternity nighties and pads for my hospital bag yesterday. maybe in another week or two I will get the rest of it sorted. I´m only 34 weeks, one of the stragglers, so should have plenty of time.

My lovely mum went off home today and before she left gave me a beauty voucher for 3 lymphatic drainage massages, a pedicure and a facial to be used all in the next few weeks. How lovely??!! feeling very spoilt. And also a bit bad cos she is off home to have an operation herself and I didn´t get her anything, will have to get my thinking cap on for some things to help with her recovery.

can´t think of anything else, feeling so so tired today. Earlgrey thanks for the tip will try head down/ arse up a bit more often and see if it helps.

wigglesrock · 12/01/2011 18:54

Well back from scan, no go on the sex (in more ways than one Wink) Can't think where I get these stubborn, strong willed children from Grin.

Really pleased with appt, consultant was lovely, for one minute we thought maybe the baby hadn't moved and was still breech but the baby's head was so far down that the consultant couldn't feel it immediately!! The placenta has also moved, so full steam ahead. No need to go to hospital again until actual d-day so really happy. Also manage to sneak out for lunch with Mr Wiggles and get replacement car seat base. We have fab car seat but somehow had managed to lose the base when we moved last year!!

PDR you will laugh at this - baby is weighing 6lb 8!!!! looks like this one is taking after dd2, hopefully the labour will too Grin

NeedToSleepZZZ · 12/01/2011 19:15

Ooh, fab news wiggles about baby being low down! He/She is really shy or stubborn!

roundthehousesI hadn't realised earlgrey had told you the on all fours and head lower than pelvis thing, I assume this position most nights as it's so comfy Confused and is great for my bp.

jack i doubt you'll have time to read much but so pleased for you and your girls, hope they continue to do so well. Double the cuddles for you!

angels i've bought some blank cards from smiths for thank you cards, wasn't sure about photos but might just pop one in.

do you think we'll all have big(gish) babies in this thread? seems to be the way...Hmm will get another estimated weight tomorrow so will report back.

40Weeks · 12/01/2011 19:31

My mws have never estimated weight. Feeling cheated now. Although both ds' were pretty big (and overdue) so am guessing this one will be too, depending on when it arrives

Very pleased for you wiggles on baby's position, babywiggles very cooperative!

What a yummy mummy you have roundhouses Enjoy your spoiling! Assume the drainage massages are ok during pg? You will be all sparkly and fresh for new bubba!

Very envious of all this pampering ladies, but I can't justify new boots AND a treatment when I have just bought uggs (they were in the sale though) Smile

varicoseveined · 12/01/2011 20:15

Waters broke just after midnight, a couple of hours after the strong braxton-hicks I posted about. I'm 34+6! Induction planned for tomorrow...

ledkr · 12/01/2011 20:22

wigglesnaughty baby.Thats it then have to wait now.
Feel weird tonight, think baby has changed position, feel lots of pressure low down and lower abdo feels numb.Lots of bh too but thats not unusual.I must be the only pg woman who doesnt want to hurry it up as i have all my plans now.
dh has just burnt the potatoes Angry its because arsenal are playing, youd think at 37 wks i could have a flippin rest.

ledkr · 12/01/2011 20:24

varicose wow,i did wonder. Are you in hospital? Good luck let us all know before family {grin]

40Weeks · 12/01/2011 20:32

Ooooh varicoseveined how exciting! That's early though, good luck you will be fine! X

tadjennyp · 12/01/2011 20:34

Well done wiggles - good luck varicose!

MissTFied · 12/01/2011 20:54

Excited for you varicose. Good luck for tomorrow, I'll be thinking of you and awaiting your news.

God it made my tummy lurch to hear it's kicking off already. I must be in denial!

smallblackflowers · 12/01/2011 20:59

wiggles great news about your placenta and baby's position Smile

varicoseveined good luck for tomorrow [hugs]. Looking forward to hearing your baby news and birth story.

ledkr I don't want my baby to be early either - so much to do and so little time.....plus my mum isn't back in the country until 4 days before my due date and she has been lined up to look after DD for the birth and to be on hand for a couple of weeks as DH can't take any real time off work around my due date - he will hopefully attend the birth though.

varicoseveined · 12/01/2011 21:05

Yep, am in hospital, went straight away. I only ordered the cot on Saturday! Thankfully just got an email saying it's been dispatched.

To think my DD was 11 days overdue!

wigglesrock · 12/01/2011 21:15

varicoseveined good luck - just think how exciting tomorrow will be.

40Weeks · 12/01/2011 21:17

Our next thread baby!!!

Bensmum76 · 12/01/2011 21:26

Good luck Varicose, will be thinking of you

earlgreyismynectar · 12/01/2011 21:30

Congratulations jack on getting your girls home! Keep us posted when you have time!

Exciting! Varicoseveined! Can't wait to hear all about it! More babies yay! We were needing another announcement! Good luck!

Finally got through the snow to my mum's inaccessible house to get my hands on all of the baby stuff. Lovely to see it all again & how small are those sleepsuits?! Ready to pack my hospital bag at last & prepare!

Hope you're all having a nice evening!

ledkr · 12/01/2011 21:44

I feel quite overwhelmed tonight at the fact our thread has come of age,i remember when we were all having our 12 wk scans i was so jealous of people who were at term.
Am also thinking of our friends who didnt make it this far, very humbled that i did.

tadjennyp · 12/01/2011 21:49

Second that ledkr - hoping that everything goes well for all of us in the last few weeks and that everyone else gets good news soon.

PDR · 12/01/2011 22:06

Good luck Varicose!!!!!!!!!! Thinking of you!!!!!

Wiggles!!!!!!! What's your EDD again? How funny we're only 1 lb apart! You better eat some chocolate to catch me up lol! I must be behind you as I have to go back at 38 weeks for another scan with consultant. Mine is also nice though not 'chatty' which is a bit awkward ad I can't keep my mouth shut!!!

Just home from NCT class and was great - really nice ppl there I think I have made some friends :-))

janedoe25 · 13/01/2011 07:29
