Right i need some lemon curd now!!! yum yum i love it. i am defintly in the tight trousers brigade, all my trousers are very very tight and i have a bump already, so much so i am wearing maternity tops as my normla ones seem to have shrunk i'm only 6 wks

Diddle · 16/10/2005 20:55

Dana · 17/10/2005 09:26

Welcome ladyschaefer and Jen. Good to see you here!!

I am so glad to see I'm not the only one with tight trousers. Haven't got much clothes that feel comfortable to wear. I tried on the dress I am wearing for a big work party in 2 weeks time. I look about 6 month pg in it. Combine that with not drinking - I wonder if anyone will get suspicious...

And nausea came crashing in yesterday and hasn't really stopped yet. Gets slightly better when I eat, but reappears about 5 min later. Suppose I asked for it. I wanted to feel pg and I certainly do now, so shouldn't be complaining.

Prettybird, when is your scan this week?

Diddle, did you solve the party invitation mystery?

ladyschaefer · 17/10/2005 09:45

Thanks guys, im having the tight trouser problem too. Its all new for me as i didnt show till i was 6 months gone last time, no sickness yet though (i had that really bad last time too) but im only 6 weeks in so we'll see.

LilacBump · 17/10/2005 10:10

welcome ladyschaefer!!!

i've put my first pair of trousers away in a drawer as it is way too tight. it seems so silly to think about buying maternity clothes at 7 weeks, considering embryo is about the size of a baked bean! how can my tummy be this big already?

Diddle · 17/10/2005 10:38

lilacbump i feel just the same and my belly is huge loads of my trousers are too tight. i ahve measured my belly and it is 37 3/4 inches round by my belly button, thats huge and it looks big too, i'm only 6wks 4 days. won't be lobg before i'm wearing al maternity closes. I think the fact that i aways wore tight trousers and little tops before makes everything feel smaller already.

Diddle · 17/10/2005 10:39

its because the hormones in ur body are making our muscles relax, well mine must have collapsed rather than relaxed.

justbetweenourselves · 17/10/2005 14:33

I'm also feeling very nauseous. Was at the supermarket this morning and completely forgot to get lemon curd following the suggestions last night . . . . hmmmm. Wonder if dh could get some later . . .

Hello to those that have just joined us! Hopefully there's still another 10 days or so for people to join the June thread before the July one opens . . .

Diddle · 17/10/2005 16:47

oh yeh lemon curd, must remember to put it on my list, my ginger nuts aren't making much difference now

juice · 17/10/2005 17:26

i am staring to have that sicky feeling, and the thought of some food just turns my tummy.
had to throw everything out that was even a little out of date today. cant even stomach dinner. but not had to run to the toilet yet

slinkstah · 17/10/2005 17:32

hannibo · 17/10/2005 17:33

hi all and welcome to the new girls, have had a lovely weekend with the nice weather. today have felt sick on and off all day, same as everyone else, only goes when i eat and then comes back, feel absolutely shattered aswell. Have a doctors appointment on thursday to get booked in. my trousers arent tight yet just get very bloated in the evening.

Diddle · 17/10/2005 18:19

welcome slink
eating doesn't seem to be makig my m/s go away at all, it seems to start as soon as i'm up at about 6.30 and last until about 5.30pm, it is now easing off, but probably not for long.

Noonee · 17/10/2005 19:26

Oh I'm so glad you all seem to have tight trousers too. I thought it was just me being odd.

I have noticed that trousers I put on in the morning seem to be OK but by the evening they are just so uncomfortable. I've bought a pair of jeans a size bigger and they are so lovely and spacious....

Lemon curd sounds wonderful. I seem to have reverted to being childlike fancying food like fishfingers and mash potato. Also I am craving sweet food like flapjacks.

Welcome to all the new girls joining.

Jen1209 · 17/10/2005 20:07

Hello - well I have certainly started something with my lemon curd haven't I?!?! may have to change my name now to match it!

I am so bloated in the evening now that my tummy sticks right out! My friend who is 20 weeks with twins sent me a travel sickness band that I am going to try and she swore by them. No actual sick yet (sorry tmi) but still v nauseous the whole time, only wearing off when I eat too - glad to see we are all in the same boat!

Hello to all the new ladies and welcome to our lemon curd party!

Wore a skirt today for work that is a size bigger than I usually need and it was so much more comfortable!

Take care all, hope beanies are all safe and well
Jen

Diddle · 18/10/2005 08:05

noonee - fancy mentioning flapjacks, gonna have to get some of those now too.

I've got my lemon curd, had it on some toast this morning, I just bought sainsburys own, but saw a posh one that said it contained real eggs. so i wonder if we can't have that sort, the one i got had dried egg in it, but if the posh one has raw egg i don't think we can have that. Was very yummy on my toast though, had a good sniff first to see if it took away my nausea, and it did for a second, migth have to stuff some up my nose.

I have had to buy some maternity jeans yesterday, my others were cutting me in half, the new ones are so comfy, all elasticated, heaven, only problem is they keep falling down a it, so i am constantly pulling them up, until my bump gets bigger.

hannibo · 18/10/2005 08:48

travel sickness bands what a good idea am going to get one to try today. At the moment bananas are the food that stops me from feeling sick for a while. Last time i ended up in hospital at 16wks as i had been over doing it and couldn't stop being sick for over 24hrs, ended up dehydrated, on a drip and on antisickness tablets, definatley dont want that this time!

Dana · 18/10/2005 08:49

Good morning girls, how are you all feeling?
My boobs seem to have grown a cup size overnight and I need nipple protectors for taking a shower (no bath here unfortunately!!)

dana - i don't know how i'm managing either, they're wearing me out. Good think is if i need to sit down and rest or run to the loo i can. Better than being in an office or shop all day.

Prettybird · 18/10/2005 14:40

Went for an early scan today. Although according to my dates, I should have been 7+2 weeks, the scan only a c.5 week pregnancy. Really worried that I am having another missed miscarriage.

What worries me is that I did my test at 4weeks and 5 days. If I am only as many weeks as they say, then I would only have been about 3 weeks at most at the time - and I don't think the Boot Digital test is that sensitive.

I've got to go back in two weeks time. It'll be a long two weeks.

PotPourri · 18/10/2005 15:43

Oh Pretty bird, sorry to hear about your scan. Hopefully you just have a slow growing baby. How long is your normal cycle? If it is more htan 28 days, then it would be normal to have a longer pregnancy, and therefore a smaller baby at this stage. Fingers crossed for you.

My EDD is 24 May but DD was 16 days late, so I would bet my house (hee hee, don't own one) that this one will be v late too.

I can't seem to sort out my bowel (sorry TMI). Wind, and bloating. It really is not glamorous, and is in actual fact really uncomfortable and at times painful. Ohhh, mustn't moan. I am very happy to be pregnant, just can't wait to get to the blooming stage.

I'm right off sweet things, but oats and potatoes are hitting the right buttons. Still really sick, but trying hard to get through it. It's hard trying to work and look after DD when all I want to do is curl up for another 6 weeks or so!

No scans here until 15 weeks - I don't know how I will wait that long!

Hope you're all well. Any July thread yet? That will make us feel so established once there is.

Prettybird · 18/10/2005 15:56

My "normal" cycle was 24-26 days (26 days pre ds, more like 24 days in recent years), but I have been on Clomid (finished my last batch at the end of August), which had made my cycle irregualr (28 days, 33 days, 27 days) so it is just possible that it had delayed my last ovulation.

I'm not hopeful though - I don't seem to have any of the other "little" symptoms (not expecting morning sickness, although it would be nice as I never suffered from it before). And defintely not getting any tight trouser syndrome!

On the plus side, she did say that the egg looked a good shape, as did the sac. Just much smaller/younger than they should have been.

LilacBump · 18/10/2005 18:17

oh prettybird {{hug}} sorry about the scan. hope he/she is just a bit smaller or they got it wrong.

Diddle · 18/10/2005 19:20

prettybird - It could just be a little smaller than other babies, they have to go on an average. I'm sure if they thought something major was happening that they may have done more tests. I bet they're wrong, not all babies are of an average size, and OV later could make baby smaller, its good that your egg shape etc is good, stay positive.

potpourri - you ahve described just how i feel, bloated, full of wind etc. sick but pleased. really fancy hibernating for winter and popping my head out of bed around february time.
