(I thought 06/06/06 was lovely too till dh pointed out it's also 6-6-6!!!!)

PrettyCandles · 01/10/2005 21:35

I'm trying to think of everything negative to do with pregnancy, labour and post-natal period as just something I have to get through in order to enjoy the little miracle that is growing inside me. We managed before and will do so again - we know it's worthwhile!

LilacLotus · 01/10/2005 21:38

congratulations justbetweenourselves!!!
my due date is 06/06/06 too! we keep being told it might be the devil's child and too look out for strange birthmarks when he/she is born!

I absolutely loved being pg first time round and am looking forward to this one too, though am very keen to get past the 1st trimester and on to surer ground, when you can feel movement etc. This is such a strange, invisible period.

I do hope more people come and join us soon . . .

Dana · 03/10/2005 07:29

I would like to join too. Did a test on Saturday night and there was no "is it a line or is it not a line" doubts. A big, bright, pink line came up instantly! Had to do another one on Sunday morning though as DH still wasn't convinced . I am also due on 06/06/06 and also thought it was a cool due date until DH pointed out the 6-6-6 thing.

Congrats to everyone else!!

nic33 · 03/10/2005 10:50

Hello all you June babies. I think more will joining us soon. Though, like you justbetween ourselves, I shall be aiming for a May c/s.

Anyone else constipated? Or am I just lowering the tone?

Have you told people already lilaclotus? Isn't it different second time?

Dana · 03/10/2005 11:36

Hi Nic33.
I am constipated too . Have you got other symptoms?

LilacLotus · 03/10/2005 11:50

dana!!! i was hoping you'd join us
congratulations!!!!!!!!!! i'm so excited for you!
everyone points out the 666! this morning i went to get my booking-in appointment sorted and the receptionist had a giggle over it.

Dana · 03/10/2005 11:57

Hi LL, I am very happy to be here .
When is your booking-in appointment? Here the doctor normally won't see you before 7-8 weeks, but I will phone in the morning to see when I can get an appointment. It will just be nice to make it official, iykwim.
How are you feeling? Have you told a lot of people?

Dana · 03/10/2005 11:59

Suppose the chances that our babies will actually be born on the 6th are pretty slim, but you never know .

justbetweenourselves · 03/10/2005 12:56

I am the opposite of constipated!!! Mind you, it might be the amount of fish, broccoli and fresh fruit that has entered my diet over the last few days!

Nic - why are you having a c/s? Have you had one before?

nic33 · 03/10/2005 13:24

Mmm. My DP hasn't forgiven me for meal of fish and fresh veg I cooked yesterday.

Hungry all the time anyone?

Had c/s last time. 'Maternal request' I think they call it. Maternal begging more like. Basically too scared to give birth properly. Though I like to think of myself as too posh to push. Don't know what my chances will be of demanding one this time, I think they are getting tougher about it. Anyone got any experience on this?

LilacLotus · 03/10/2005 14:19

i've told DD, my parents, DP's parents and sister and quite a few friends.
the booking-in appt is when i am 11 weeks, about a month away.
symptoms are still sore boobs, metallic taste, need the loo a lot and slight faintness. i did have cramps like period pain, bit of nausea and constipation, but those went.
you're right dana, it does make it more official to go to the doctor etc.

Prettybird · 03/10/2005 15:02

Just a quick note to say that dh seems to have come round a bit - I wouldn't exactly say he was happy, but he is being supportive. We have had some chats about money - and will have more, I'm sure

Not told anyone yet though.

Still don't feel pregnant though.

peepee · 03/10/2005 15:16

Congratulations ladies.....

Wishing u all the best.

I had a m/c 5 weeks ago and tested positive yesterday. Am going to GP tonite for advice. I may be joining u in a few days. Won't do just yet as it may be that I just have high HCG levels from the last p/g.

Good luck to you all.

LilacLotus · 03/10/2005 16:15

Congratulations hannibo!! DH and I also agreed to keep it quiet for a bit. I have told my mum and am telling my best friend tomorrow. DH has told all his family, quite a few friends and his work colleagues. Keeping it quiet....hmmmmm... .
