LilacBump · 18/12/2005 11:45

hi girls! i went to topshop in nottingham yesterday and bought two belly bands! a blue one and a red one. they are so brilliant!!!

jinglediddle · 19/12/2005 07:53

went to our topshop, useless, had no idea what i was talking about.
felt baby move Friday night, we were sitting in the cinema and it stating punching my belly, was such a strange sensation, made me grin though.

Feeling ok i think today, very bunged up and feel like i haven't slept, but i guess i should get used to that.

ChaCha · 19/12/2005 09:40

trinity1 · 19/12/2005 10:42

hi all, hope everyone's ok and Christmas shpping wasn't too stressful! Am 15 weeks and 3 days today and really starting to enjoy being pregnant. Am interested in getting one of those baby bands but topshop down in Chichester don't sell maternity clothes so will have a look on the net. My DP has just scanned in our 12 wk scan pic but am crap at computers so will have to wait until he gets home before posting it here! xxx

jinglediddle · 19/12/2005 11:16

is it stored on your pc trinity???
if you find a belly band let me know i need one.

trinity1 · 19/12/2005 12:36

Hi jinglediddle, The scan pic is stored on the pc but I don't know how to add it to my message. Have tried to copy and paste it to no avail. Just had a look on TopShop's website. They have belly bands available in True Red for 5.00. Hope that helps xxx

jinglediddle · 19/12/2005 13:07

thanks trinity, may have to resort to orderng them online i think.

You cant add pics to your normal posts like these, but if you go into member profiles you can type a message then it will ask you to find your pic and ad it, its very easy on there. hope you can do it.

trinity1 · 19/12/2005 14:35

Can't find it! Went into member profiles where I was asked if I wanted to update my profile (told you I was crap at this) Can't wait until DP is home on Wednesday so he show dippy me what to do! (ps, am ever so scatty at the moment - is this pregnancy related???) xxx

jinglediddle · 19/12/2005 16:18

hmm could very much be pregnancy related!! i've often gone into the fridge to get the iron out. losing my brain cells rapidly.

mrsbabookaloo · 20/12/2005 09:13

Hello. Thanks bubbly1973 for safefetus link. I probably won't take the cyclizine anyway, as am managing OK at the moment and throwing up less frequently at least, though the great new development is that I feel like something is permanently caught in my throat!
Dewberry, I agree: it seems ages between one scan and the next and hard to believe you're still pregnant sometimes. I haven't got a bump at all, though dh says I have. My clothes still fit, anyway.
2 more days at work til I'm off for Christmas!!

LilacBump · 20/12/2005 11:29

hi girls, i won't be online much in the next few weeks. i hope you are all well. if i'm not on again before the weekend, i want to wish you all a merry christmas!

i am 16 weeks today! i have quite a lovely bump at the moment. people can definitely tell i'm pregnant. loving the belly bands. i think i felt the baby move (properly this time, not like my false alarm at 11 weeks). sometimes when i get up too quickly i can feel a thud against my abdominal wall. i see the midwife tomorrow for more bloodtests and hopefully will finally hear the heartbeat! i don't feel sick anymore, just ill as i have another cold. does anyone know which over the counter medicines would be alright to take, like cough medicine?

trinity1 · 20/12/2005 17:02

Hi LilacBump - had a cold/virus a couple of weeks ago, the worst thing was the tickly cough that just wouldn't go away. Finally went to the pharmacy who said it was safe to take Pavacol-D. It tastes awful (like aniseed) but really did the trick. Hope you feel better before Christmas. Am 15 weeks and 4 days. Have just come back from seeing the midwife. Heard the heartbeat which made me tearful. Flutters are weird too, keep thinking I'm imagining it. Everything is ok but I have a weird craving for sherbet pips which I found and bought a big bag of in town today - yummy!!! xxx

LilacBump · 21/12/2005 16:30

quick update, went to the midwife today. all bloods came back clear. got spina bifida and down's bloods taken (with a lot of trouble, my veins are so good at hiding). have another possible UTI heard the heartbeat which was wonderful. and all is really well with the baby.

Laura032004 · 21/12/2005 18:55

Hello everybody - not posted in a while as DS has been ill with a chest infection for the past 10 days.

All's well with the baby though - had my 12w scan last week, and saw a lovely kicking happy baby

Just getting ready for Christmas now....

abbey1515 · 25/12/2005 23:30

Hi everyone
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year- have not been posting recently as have had horrid bad cold and chest infection but much better now...
Hope everyone ok! xxx

jinglediddle · 27/12/2005 15:11

hello ladies, hope you had a great xmas. bump is growing well, got a nasty cold and chesty cough, anyone know what i can take??? its annoying the hell out of me now!!!

abbey1515 · 27/12/2005 17:12

Hi Diddle
I got antibiotics for mine, but its taking ages to finally go..lower down the thread is a posting about pavacol-d- but my pharmacist wouldn't recommend any cough medicine to me, he just sold me some Vicks! Am currently sucking fruit gums as that seems to help wih the tickly throat! Take care x

LilacBump · 27/12/2005 19:14

i had (and still do) a chest infection AND a kidney infection over the christmas weekend. it was hell. i was in so much pain on my side. doctor said if i got any worse, i needed to seek medical help, but thankfully didn't need to. i am still in a lot of pain and nearly at the end of my course of anti-biotics.
my GP said to stay well clear of any cough medicines, just to use hot water with honey and paracetamol.
i am now 17 weeks! i keep getting little kicks, but DP can't feel them yet when he puts his hand on my bump. oh and when i was bored a week or so ago, i took a picture of my bump , but it's much bigger already.

slinksanta · 28/12/2005 12:53

Hi everyone hope you had a good christmas

a cough must be a nightmare whilst pg diddle, i sneezed this morning and pulled my stomach muscles so bad i couldn't move for 10 minutes and i thought i had damaged baby, doppler said 152 so alls well. remind me not to sneeze again!

i am 15 weeks and my bump is small, i am still wearing my usual belt on my usual jeans!

had a dream last night baby was a boy, thats the second dream i have had about baby but the first one said it was a girl so my subconcious is really non the wiser.

jinglediddle · 28/12/2005 18:06

thanks abbey, will try all i can to remove this nasty cough, the doc told me today that i can only take paracetamol for it.

lilacbump - love the bump pic, mine is a little bigger than that now too, was worried i was huger than anyone else but i appear to be quite average, and i will be 17 wks tomorrow. Have felt a few kicks but nothing regular, and just liek you not enough for DH to feel yet.

Slink - don't you worry about not having a bump yet, make the most of the view of your feet while you still have it yours will pop soon.
