i bought most of my maternity clothes at mothercare. they have buy one get one half price at the moment. h&m had some nice black trousers for £20, so i bought those too.
next is supposedly getting rid of their maternity clothes in the shops, so you can soon only order with the catalogue or online.

LilacBump · 13/12/2005 19:36

and you're all very welcome

abbey1515 · 14/12/2005 09:37

Boo, have stinking cold and been sick since 5 am and have sore throat and am feeling very sorry for myself, and have to work, and the school kids are making me feel ill- the year 11 boys drown themselves in aftershave and I can't even tell you about the other smells. I want to go home.

dewberry1 · 15/12/2005 13:01

lilacbump....I felt totally pukka with ds but this time it keeps coming and going!!! the sickness that is! Do you want a girl cos you know all about girls and are scared of having a boy or do you just want a girl cos you WANT A GIRL... initially I panicked about having a girl as i have a ds and he is so desperate for a brother and i kept thinking a boy would fit in with our life better but once I saw little babe at my 14 week scan I really dont mind what it is...My 20 weeks scan on 20th Jan..keep thinking ill ask what the sex is..but will I regret doing that?? what you gonna do..Will you find out?? xx

jinglediddle · 15/12/2005 13:36

hello ladies - sorry dewberry, feeling ok here at the moment, very tired but not sick anymore, thank goodness, i thought it woudl never end. Have been to topshop this morning and they didn't have any of those belly bands, she offered me a wide scarf to tie round but i'm too lazy for that.
was hoping to get one before xmas, wonder if the website would deliver that fast.

I'm 15 wks today hooray, feel so happy to be this far.

Lilacbump - hmm a name for the new thread! right will get my thinking hat on.

dewberry1 · 15/12/2005 13:44

Jinglediddle iv read on a thread here you can get them on the topshop website but i aint too good on internet and i couldnt find them..is there not another store near you you could try..I got mine from the Preston store and that is a ickle one xx

dewberry1 · 15/12/2005 13:53

jinglediddle · 15/12/2005 14:04

Mine was the 2nd September Dewberry. Haven't got the energy or time really to go any further to go to toshop, but i might try the webiste, found ti on there, just need to try and order it. will see how money is before i do though, might need it for xmas pressies.

abbey1515 · 15/12/2005 15:11

Hi
15 weeks todoay too!
Diddle, last time I ordered from Topshop online it took ages to come, so not sure if it would come in time for Xmas...

LilacBump · 15/12/2005 17:09

dewberry, it is exactly as you said. i want a girl because i have DD and i know what girls are like. silly things like i know where to buy girly things and how to do their hair the thought of a boy terrifies me! and i will definitely ask to find out the sex. with DD they couldn't see (had her legs crossed etc), so i hope it'll be clear this time.

diddle, i put up instructions below how to get to the topshop belly bands on the website (Shop by' - 'B maternity' - 'extras'). it's java or something, so i can't give you a direct link.

as i am not so tired anymore, i have caught up with lots of housework today. and i'm exhausted now, but proud that i managed to do it! someone told me the other day that i was glowing!

LilacBump · 15/12/2005 17:10

oh sorry diddle, i didn't see you found it on the website already

slinksanta · 16/12/2005 09:36

Hi all,
you all must have bumps if you are buying belly bands, i am still waiting for my bump to appear- although one of my friends said "ooh your showing already" actually peed me off as she put her hand on my fat bit which baby won't inhabit until 30 weeks i imagine.
seems like you all are 15 weeks already and i am behind at 13 weeks, is there anyone else 13 weeks?

I felt really sick this morning, i haven't suffered morning sickness at all, yet this morning at 13 weeks i thought i was gonna chuck Confused

Baby seems to be bouncing around alot in the evening, made me jump last night, i can imagine the movement being so strong in a few weeks i will not beable to sleep through it.

jinglediddle · 16/12/2005 12:34

slink - enjoy the lack of morning sickness, its a devil. did you have it with your other children?
Wish i was feeling baby, keep wondering when i will. hope its soon, it'll probably kick a mince pie of my belly on xmas day

nic33 · 16/12/2005 13:34

Hello everyone.

Thought maybe I should post a message that doesn't involve me moaning, as I am actually starting to feel much better. And very excited about the idea of these belly bands, thanks everyone.

I thought we should have a little competition about who can put on the most weight over Christmas. Come on ladies, I know you can do it, Have another mince pie...

mrsbabookaloo · 16/12/2005 13:38

Hi all,
Dewberry - I'M still feeling sick too. I'm sorry - I only seem to post moany stuff, but I felt like I was the only one still puking. I had three days of feeling quite a bit better and then back to throwing up again. I also can't stop coughing and have bruised a rib either from coughing or throwing up (...or maybe my bra is too tight..! Must get a new one!), so I went to the doctor this am even tho i knew he wouldn't do anything. He was really nice and I felt like crying when I got out. He gave me a prescription for cyclizine. Anyone heard of it? He said there were no side effects...

jinglediddle · 16/12/2005 14:23

mrs babookaloo - have never heard of it sorry, i'm sure the doc wouldn't let you ahve it if it wasn't safe though.
lokk it up online, theres bound to be something.

PomsMum · 17/12/2005 15:33

Hello Everyone - you've obviously got much more going on than I have, miserable day, dd being totally horrid, just took her out for a walk and she bawled her way round for an hour, combined with the dog being a pain in the backside - what a relaxing and enjoyable walk hmmmm, shame really when the weather is so beautiful.
Got my second scan (1st one at 12 weeks have to go private round here)on Tuesday at 16 weeks it'll be the usual look out to see if we can see if its a boy or girl - they won't tell you here. Mind you apparently where we are, according to the private consultant, offers the worst ante natal care in the country - always nice to know. Been looking into home births and collecting waterbirth websites to buy/hire a pool - anyone got any recoomendations?

dewberry1 · 17/12/2005 15:45

mrs babookaloo...nearly wet myself when I read your message...I sometimes undo my bra at night and let it all hang out..im sure it makes my indigestion worse....Feel better knowing your ill too...hahaha only joking but I seriously feel pukey!!
Not really felt my babe move much and its my second..sometimes I think I feel a wobble then I trump and realise it must be wind...haha (blush) I keep thinking what if its not alive after my last scan...oh god..that sound awful..but i feel so ill...just want to feel proper movements NOW!! its a long time between midwife appointments from your 14 weeks scan to your 20th..im going mental with worry and I keep getting low down pains..HELP!!!!
Im actually wearing my bump band now..my bump is only titchy but it covers my undone zip which was a bit gross as I was flashing my knicker colour to all and sundry prior to getting it!! xxx

dewberry1 · 17/12/2005 15:52

Iv just done that wedding ring attatched to a piece of string over my belly test!!! Ok OK I was bored and my sis talked me into it...anyway it kept going round and round which apparently means its a girl (which my vibe is anyway!!) if it goes back and forth its a boy...come on girls..a little test for the weekend to keep us thinking..get your cotton or a pendant out and let me know what it does!!! xx its a load of rubbish i know..ha x
