Hey Diddle - I see you've joined the yahoo group, but there's no pics of you up yet. Come and splash your ugly mug all over the internet so we can see what you look like .

Diddle · 27/10/2005 16:33

hannibo · 27/10/2005 18:21

Trickorflum · 27/10/2005 22:12

Got the job!!!!! Happy and gutted too!

Laura032004 · 27/10/2005 22:29

Trickorflum - congratulations What sort of job is it?

LilacBump - do you need to stay clear of your nephew? I can't remember if chickenpox is dangerous when pg, or if it is OK, if you've had it. Chickenpox is the one you can get twice isn't it? I caught it again when I was 18, they think because I only got a mild dose as a child. I think if you catch it a second time normally it's shingles isn't it?

Where is everyone getting their maternity clothes from? I had them from allsorts of places last time. I think the Formes ones were my favourites, but Next was great for casual bits as well.

Got my MIL coming to stay for the w/e, so I shall be putting my feet up a bit. DH was away all last week, and is away again next week, so I've just been getting more and more tired.

Dana · 28/10/2005 08:42

Morning girls, how is everyone today?

Flum, congratulations on the job!!

Welcome and congratulations to Laura and kalebsmum

I've had a look through my maternity wear from last time, and I've only got one skirt and a couple of tops, so will need to get some more this time. I'm going for the cheap option of H&M and maybe some online shops. I hate paying loads of money for something I'm only going to wear for a few months.

I can't wait to get my first scan. Think it will be around 12-14 weeks. I am only 8+3 now so seems like ages away. I just want to know that everything is ok, keep having bad dreams

LilacBump · 28/10/2005 09:26

flum, congratulations!!!

laura, apparently it should be fine as i had chickenpox as a child. you can only get chickenpox once as you become immune. i don't know what shingles are.

Diddle · 28/10/2005 09:54

flum - congrats on the new job, well done x

I've got another scan tomorrow, can't wait to see little baby again, going to make sure they take a decent pic this time, as you can't see much on the last one. Then i have another scan in 3 wks. woohoo. A little nervous actually, that they'll say something is wrong, or baby hasn't grown., fingers crossed.

Jen1209 · 28/10/2005 19:07

Hi,

Wow Diddle, another scan already - you are soooo lucky. I can't wait til mine, am really counting the days (I'm only 7 + 2 today)!

I am going to look at Ebay for maternity clothes and my BF said she'd help and she has started a collection of her stuff for me (she is 22 + 3 with twins so is growing out of her stuff FAST!) but I would love to know where to get some smart office stuff from???

I have had some more spotting for the last 2 days but am not too worried as it still isn't red and isn't all the time (about twice a day) so will just keep a v close eye on it...

Hope everyone else is ok, flum - well done with the job - what are you going to be doing???

J x

Jen1209 · 30/10/2005 17:25

Gosh - where is everyone??? Hope you all had a good weekend...

LilacBump · 31/10/2005 08:19

hi girls, how are you all?

i am 9 weeks tomorrow. the sickness is slightly getting less. and i seem to have a bit more energy. i've told my gran i'm expecting and she is the kind of person who'd not like it or object, but she was happy and she went and told my cousin straight away, so now everyone in belgium will know!

Diddle · 31/10/2005 08:34

Morning ladies - this is a very quiet threa,d where are you all?? Saw baby again on saturday, he/she has grown from 7.4mm to 12.8mm in a week which is great, we heard the heartbeat, and baby is fine. so relieved once again. Feeling a little nauseous but not as bad as i was.

8wks 3 days

Bugs · 31/10/2005 10:29

Hi all. I'm new to mumsnet but found out a few weeks agao am approx 8 wks with n#2 (dd is 4) we think that i'm due 08/06/06 which is funny as our wedding ann is 06/06

Diddle · 31/10/2005 10:43

welcome bugs and big congrats to you, hope it is all going well, are you suffering with morning sickness??

Jen1209 · 31/10/2005 12:00

Hello - well more bleeding today, a lot of red blood (sorry tmi again ) Have been to the Dr and she is quite worried and has referred me for an early scan which is tomorrow morning. I am so worried & upset, I can't stop crying. DP can't be with me as he hasn't got the car today and works in the back of beyond so can't get back.

And I thought ttc was a rollercoaster of emotion

Hi Bugs and congratulations! Hope you have a happy and healthy pg and baby!

Diddle - have you got a pic of little Diddle yet? Really pleased all is still going well for you

J x

LilacBump · 31/10/2005 12:02

ohh jen, i'm so sorry you're going through this. it must be awful to feel all is alright and then the bleeding starts again. best of luck with the scan {{hug}}

congratulations bugs!!!

Jen1209 · 31/10/2005 12:06

Thanks, LB, am off to bed for a bit as am absolutely shattered...

Laura032004 · 31/10/2005 12:22

Jen - Really sorry to hear about the bleeding. I do hope that the scan tomorrow can set your mind at rest. Will this be the first scan?

Congratulations Bugs Glad to hear that the scan went well Diddle

LilacBump - I'm the complete opposite to you - feeling more sick and having less energy! Was in bed by half 8 last night! I was just the same last time though, and was feeling a lot better by about 10/12 weeks, so not much longer to go! DS is asleep at the moment, so I'm going to have a nap on the sofa.

slinkstah · 31/10/2005 12:24

HI EVERYONE

jen- omg thats awful i really hope everything goes well on the scan tommorrow. try and relax and rest all day.

welcome bugs

diddle- thats great you had another scan and baby has almost doubled in size in a week! thats amazing.
i was telling dp the other day that baby us the size of a lentil but it has a heartbeat already and he was amazed.

i still don't feel sick, i am not too bothered about that now as i feel pg now in other ways. i have made the first milestone - 6 weeks

Diddle · 31/10/2005 13:15

oh jen - so sorry to bleeding is getting worse, you must be beside yourself with worry, bleeding is common though coudl be nothing, do you ahve any pain with it?
Yes got a pic of little diddle, looks like a smudge on the paper, bless, can't make anything out yet, too small.

Slink - very pleased to hear you've made your milestone thats great, its so nice when you reach them isn't it.
Feeling very rough now, had some lunch and its made no difference, haven't been sick though. not yet anyway.
Glad you ahve some symptoms slink.

Bugs · 31/10/2005 15:13

Hi all. Am feeling really bad with morning sickness - strange thing is with my dd i was litrally sick from the moment i woke up then was so so all day but this time round jst feeling sick all day and have gone off nearly ever food poss. Yes am tired too but work most evenings doing a.s so it keeps me going.
Jen ((((hugs)))) take it easy and let us know how it goes.
D

Jen1209 · 31/10/2005 15:28

Right, must not sleep anymore otherwise will be up all night and DP will not be amused!

Hi Diddle - no, no pain just a feeling of general unwellness and aches and pains which could be interpreted as anything! It was more uncomfortable when the Dr was feeling my tummy today though and in the late evenings (by about 9 pm) I have been really uncomfortable with period like pain (not cramps but almost like really bad trapped wind ) and a feeling that something was pushing down inside?

This will be my first scan (am 7+5 today) and am really frightened that there will be nothing there or something wrong Still, must carry on with a positive attitude until I know all the facts....

Right, off to eat chocolate and watch daytime tv!

J x

Diddle · 31/10/2005 15:39

Jen - You're rigth you need to stay positive, little baby needs your positive vibes. there a a lot of other things that could cause bleeding during pregnancy not baby related, a friend of mine has had a haematoma, which meant she lost some red clotted blood and they have given the baby the all clear, its nothing to do with baby. So you could be fine. Please let us know how the scan go's and take it easy. we're thinking of you x x x

Noonee · 31/10/2005 17:50

Jen - hugs to you and best wishes for scan tomorrow.

I haven't been around in the last week as I've been away with work - exhausting - so it took me ages to catch up here.

I have been reading about all the things you should eat in this trimester and I wonder whether it's a problem that the only thing I can eat at the moment is bread and potatoes. Everything else is a drag and makes me feel worse. Anyone else feel that green vegetables are passing them by? Should I worry about this?

Trickorflum · 31/10/2005 20:25

Thanks for all the congratulations. Job is Management Accountant at a rather well known building society. Its my first real job since qualifying as Chartered in May. TBH I find it all yawningly dull but needs must.

Diddle - lots of scans for you, must be very re-assuring, would love to have a scan as feel so un-pregnant compared with last time.

Well done Bugs.

Thinkking of you Jen.
