You should see the doctor when you can slink, I think its important for them to know that you're pregnant even if they can't do anything. Plus you've miscarried so they may offer you an earlier appointment with the midwife, I got one.

I'm 7 + 4 today.

slinkstah · 25/10/2005 16:47

yeah maybe, i guess my dr would have to write a special note with my booking form then, as there are no community midwifes at my surgery. i will go next week as its half term this week and i am keeping this baby a secret from the kids untill i pass 23 weeks. as last time my dd was very upset at what happened.
oh and i have a bump! i know sounds stupid as i am 5 weeks and thats impossible but maybe its my muscles have given way with the hormones and my fat has just escaped!

Diddle · 25/10/2005 16:59

yep mine too slink, i emailed a pic of me to CH last week and shes sure i'm 5 months very relaxed muscles!

slinkstah · 25/10/2005 17:24

maybe its twins diddle i could pass for 3 months myself. i am going to photo my bump every week so i have a record.

LilacBump · 25/10/2005 18:13

i am now 8 weeks and this is the stage where we found out i was pregnant with DD (kept getting neg. tests in the weeks before). it's weird that with her i wasn't aware of the very early weeks, but in a way that was better as i've been sick with worry over bleeding and such. last time i also started being sick from 8 weeks, so far just felt sick and i hope it stays that way. i keep eating fruit and toast when it comes and then it goes for a little while. it definitely seems worse in the morning and early afternoon. if i'm out somewhere and i need something quick to stop the nausea then i resort to chewable rennies. they really help and are safe in pregnancy.

diddle, i'm sorry to hear about your grandad

jen, i'm glad you're better. i hope you're still taking it easy

Laura032004 · 25/10/2005 20:44

Can I join you all

Due date is 22/6 (although ds was nearly 3 weeks late!)

This will be our 2nd. Have DS who is nearly 19m now.

I've been following the thread since I tested +ve last week, but it's started to feel real today as I've just got the date for my first MW appt.

Diddle · 26/10/2005 07:17

welcome Laura and big congrats to you!!!

How many weeks are you?

excellent news Laura - first month trying ever?? thats fab well done, you lucky thing you.

Laura032004 · 26/10/2005 09:26

Yes, we were very surprised DS took 6 months, but we weren't living together then as DH was working away.

Got my first MW appt for 10th Nov, at about 8 weeks, and hopefully will get a scan date soon as they do a 12wk scan round here. Didn't get one of those with DS, so excited about that.

Diddle · 26/10/2005 11:09

I have my scan on the 17th Nov, can't wait i'll be 11 wks by then, as far as i know, thats if my dates are right.

Prettybird · 26/10/2005 11:16

Think I'm going to have to bow out, as I am pretty sure that I have had another missed miscarriage.

Hcg levels have dropped slightly (from 10,0000 to 9,200), plus the early can showed two weeks earlier than I expected. Plus I don't "feel" pregnant any more.

Should be 8 weeks (or 6 weeks, accrdoing to scan) and as I already have a ds, I would have expected some other signs, like my waist thickening, my boobs getting larger etc.

It'll be confirmed definitively at my follow-up scan next Tuesday, which seems ages away - but at the moment I have asssumed the worst (and am miserable with it).

I wish everyone all the best with their gorgeous baby-to-be-in-June.

kalebsmum04 · 26/10/2005 11:21

hi i just found out i'm 7wks pregnant this is my 2nd i have a boy 15mths i'm due on the 15th june i'm so excited i have to let everyone know

PotPourri · 26/10/2005 11:26

Hi all. Sorry to hear about your grandad Diddle. And hope you are feeling well Jen - just keep relaxing.

My hormones are all over the place. I am finding it hard to cope with work and DD adn generally everything as I burst into tears constantly. Oh well, hoping it will pass soon. I;m 10 wks + now and counting the days til this sickness stops. I also look about 6 months pregnant, I think my muscles have not recovered from DD and are just like - wey hey, out we go again!

I;ve stopped alcohol too as I can't even stand the smell of it. It makes me gag, as does coffee and chocolate. No idea why, my body must be telling me something.

Hey, hope that theory on future pregnancies and less sickness is true - this sickness would be enough to put me off that big family I always wanted....

Chin up girls. Only a few weeks now until we are all blooming!!

PotPourri · 26/10/2005 11:27

Oh prettybird. Crossed post. So sorry to hear your news.

LilacBump · 26/10/2005 11:31

laura and kalebsmum, big congratulations!!!

prettybird, i am so sorry {{hug}} waiting for that scan must be hard. i wish you all the best.

Diddle · 26/10/2005 11:44

welcome kalebsmum - congrats.

prettbird, i know just how you feel, so empty and low and drained. thinking of you x

potpourri - wish i was 10 wks i'm counting the days down too i'm almost 8 wks, wishing away my life at the moment till te sickness stops, it better stop at 12 wks

Laura032004 · 26/10/2005 15:14

Prettybird - sorry to hear your news

kalebsmum04 - congratulations!

I'm not feeling too sick, just a bit nauseous at times. Eating seems to help, so keeping the carb levels up. Just feeling soooo tired. Having a lunchtime nap with DS, and still going to bed at 10pm!

Jen1209 · 26/10/2005 18:40

Hi everybody and welcome to Kalebsmum & Laura!

Potpourri - can't wait to be 10 weeks - am only 7 today and it feels like forever til that 12 week point. Scan date is 30th Nov and I am really counting the days! Still haven't had my mw appointment through yet but have to go the Dr for my weekly check tomorrow so will chase it then

Prettybird - so sorry to hear your news thinking of you and for your scan next week.

I would love a nap in the afternoon, I am soooo tired at the mo. In bed by 9.30 at the absolute latest at the mo!!!

Trickorflum · 26/10/2005 23:11

Hello all, is very exciting this thread, you all seem so excited. So sorry to hear your thoughts Prettybird, must be very tough for you.

I feel a bit left out as don't feel pregnant at all. Last time I felt very sick etc. I am losing weight (worry due to DH still out of work).

On the plus side though I had a second interview with a local firm who are one of the Top 100 Times Employers to work for and will find out tomorrow if I get the position. Soooooooo don't want to go back to work full time, will miss DD (20 months) desperately but needs must at the moment.

Have decided I am not going to tell new co (if I get the job) until January that I am pregnant. I'm told that legally I have to tell them 15 weeks before due date. It seems a bit shady but really need the job and want to show them how good I am before I drop the maternity leave bombshell.

Hope I get it and hope I don't get it in equal measures!!!

On a lighter note got out my old maternity clothes from 2 seasons ago and still like a few of them - especially the Formes stuff.

hannibo · 27/10/2005 08:44

hiya all, my morning sickness has kicked in now, feel sick most of the day and vomit most morning and sometimes in the evening sorry tmi so no i dont think morning sickness is not so bad the second time around, well not for me.
Due to my sickness we have told close family as they were starting to put two and two together.
Diddle and jen glad things are going better for you two now.
Prettybird i am so sorry for you.
I still have no midwife or scan dates yet.

Diddle · 27/10/2005 10:32

hannibo - Glad to hear the m/s has kicked in, have you seen the doctor yet?

7 wks 6 days

Laura032004 · 27/10/2005 10:39

Trickorflum - will your DH look after your DD if you get the job? I started my last job the same day as my last period before I got pg with DS, so was OK for maternity leave. I did leave it until about 16wks before telling them though.

I need to have a look through my maternity clothes from last time, but I think a lot more of them were 'office' style, which I'm not going to need this time as a SAHM. Lots more jeans and long sleeved tops I think! Might have to think about selling some of the Formes stuff before it's too out of date, as I hate to think what it all cost!

hannibo - sorry to hear that you are feeling so bad. Part of me wants to feel a bit worse as then I'd know for sure I was pg IYKWIM, but on the other hand, feeling just nauseous is good!

Diddle · 27/10/2005 10:45

well i'm wearing maternity already, my body has flopped, all muscles are now relaxed and hanging from my body, i look massive. where can i get some nice new maternity clothes?

LilacBump · 27/10/2005 11:00

flum, good luck with the job! i hope you get it!

i've just had the wonderful news (!) that my nephew has chickenpox. which probably means his newborn baby sister will get it. it shouldn't be a problem for me as i got chickenpox as a child. but DP's mum can't remember if DP got it and DD hasn't had it yet.
