Woken up still shocked and saddened by yesterday's tragic news from c&g and wondering if it would be possible to express solidarity by donating to a charity that supports bereaved parents and researches fetal and infant mortality? Something that would be a gesture of support? What do you think?

c&g we have never met in person but we have walked a little together on a journey and you have shared your joys and anxieties with us all since the spring... My heart goes out to you as you and your family deal with the devastating experience of losing your already-much-loved daughter, and I know that you and your family have been in the thoughts and prayers of many people now. There is nothing anyone can say but you are being constantly thought of and if there is anything we can do then please let us know.

It is so, so very sad.

I meant to say, or if there is a cause close to C&G's heart instead/as well...though I don't know if she will be reading this thread.

Miffster beautifully expressed and a lovely thought I second everything you said!

C&G we're here when you need us

mumatron · 03/12/2010 07:46

c&g i haven't posted on this thread for ages, but after reading your news i just had to say how sorry i am for you and all of your family. after everything you have been through i can't belive it.

I hope the induction goes ok and i hope that you find peace with what has happened quickly.

Rip baby c%g :(

Lavitabellissima · 03/12/2010 08:37

Miffster lovely post, well written & thoughtful

C&G thinking of you today

Chooster Welcome little Jude, hope you are settling at home well.

Hope everyone is being careful in this weather, I haven't really been out now for a month, and feel a bit stuck,.but it doesn't look very safe.

Pitterpatter2 · 03/12/2010 09:06

I have about three weeks to go in theory but the midwife thinks I am about ready to "pop". Pop is the right word as I feel like and look like a balloon but when I swap notes with other mums-to-be I have had a very easy time of it.

Everything is packed ready to go when contractions start and the nursery is ready for when I come home. I have given DH strict instructions to let leaders here know when something exciting happens. Jasmine sends a loving(?) wriggle to all of you.

frankenfanny · 03/12/2010 09:09

miffster you expressed that so beautifully.

I understand if noone wants to think about this right now, but in the spirit of what you were saying, what about this suggestion? www.uk-sands.org/Get-involved/Give-In-Memory-of-Funds.html

Wholelottalove · 03/12/2010 09:37

miffster that is a lovely post and I would be very happy to contribute. Franken thanks for the link, it looks like a lovely idea.

I don't know if you are reading C&G but you're in my thoughts and prayers for the induction and as MrsS says, we're here when you need us.

chooster I haven't yet said congratulations on the arrival of baby Jude William. What a lovely name and I hope he is settling in well.

lavita there is still some snow and ice on the ground where I am, but have been venturing out as DD is getting stir crazy. She seems to be brewing a cold so very grumpy. I've sat her in front of Cbeebies for a bit.

CherylAnnTweedy · 03/12/2010 09:52

MIffster, I was thinking the same thing along the lines of a donation.

chloesbaby · 03/12/2010 10:36

Dear C&G

I haven't posted for a couple of weeks but logged on this morning to see your tragic news.

I am so very sorry this is happening to you and your family. We've never met but like Miffster said, have shared an emotional journey together since the spring, and you have been such a supportive member of the group.

My thoughts are with you.

Chloe

LittleB · 03/12/2010 10:36

CheeseandGherkins · 03/12/2010 17:46

Thanks for the lovely, kind words. I have been reading but don't want to upset any of you ladies, I have a thread on bereavement to ask about practical things. Thank you all so much. Due to be induced tomorrow afternoon. The charity donation sounds like an amazing idea.

This all feels totally surreal to me. If anyone wants to keep in touch, please do so, pm etc I'm also on facebook.

Good luck all and enjoy your babies xx

crazykat · 03/12/2010 18:06

C&G I can't even begin to imagine what you're going through. Take extra care of yourself in the next few weeks and months.

CherylAnnTweedy · 03/12/2010 18:55

Chooster · 03/12/2010 21:29

Lovely post from you miffster - I would be very happy to donate to a charity of C&G's choice also.

C&G - Although we dont know you in person I think we all feel we have got to know you so well over the last few months and your loss is so devastating. You are a very kind and giving person who is a fabulous mummy. Our thoughts remain with you and hopefully you'll find the comfort and strength you need from those closest to you.
