Hi all - we've very nearly exhausted the 1,000 post limit on our previous thread so here is the new one.

Looking forward to continuing to share the ups, downs, symptoms, queries, worries and joy (fingers tightly crossed!)

Oh Cep poor you. How far along are you? How are things now. I've nothing useful to add to what has been said and I have heard that an 8 week bleed is v common. Sending you sticky vibes and hope you manage to see someone for reassurance.

Beesok I am with you on the bloating, so uncomfortable.

And in other news I had my first weird dream last night, it involved an orgy but I can't share any more details! Blush

Beesok · 31/10/2010 08:50

Cep sorry to hear that, I can imagine that you are worried. Sadly I can't help as it's my first but have read lots about bleeding being quite common in the first two months. In fact my friend had a "normal" period for 2 months while pregnant (which is why she only found out much later!) but has a lovely and perfectly healthy girl (oh and she was 37 and was on very strong heart medication at the time).

I have a scan tomorrow but still really confused as to how far along I am and my symptoms have sort of eased off :( Now I'm worried :( I know this is the most common worry for all us on this thread and I just hope we all get past this period and can stop being so anxious :(

cep · 31/10/2010 09:05

i'm 7+2 but my cycles have been odd since coming of the pill last december, changing between 26 and 28 and any amount inbetween, so i would be due from today onwards, so it could be that. i've been to the loo since and nothing so maybe it was just that 1 time (fingers crossed) but so weird.

We have my dss till lunch, i think my dh would prefer i wait to speak to the dr tomorrow rather than sit in a&e after we've taken dss home, but he's also saying it's not that simple for him to take time off tomorrow either and i don't really want to go on my own especially with my ds.
Thankyou all for your words of comfort i know every pregnancy is different but this is so different from ds i no longer know what to expect. i think i'll try to convince him to go to a&e, will let you all know.

beesok - they tend to count it from your last lmp but can confirm it in the scan. and no you never get past the worries, they ease off a little after 12 weeks but there's always something you worry about.

and yellow tom - i had a fantastic dream last night very vivid - i was dating a gorgeous rich italian, whose mother didn't like me.

Hi all, phew, it's taken me a while to catch up on all the posts since Thursday, and sorry if I don't remember everyone's posts, but just wanted to say Congratulations Crumble, and so, so sorry about your bad news Lobster, thinking of you.

cep I hope your bleeding subsides. I know how scary it is; I had 2 episodes of bleeding when I was pg with ds in the first trimester, one of them was very heavy and it turned out I had a low-lying placenta which was bleeding. The first episode was around 7 - 8 weeks too and there was no explanation found for it. Keep positive and rest and relax x

Barbie I have heard that you have a 90-95% chance of carrying to full term once a heartbeat has been detected, pretty good odds.

I will not be having an early scan (3rd pregnancy, one ms and one full term little bundle of monsterness Wink), but I am hoping that my scan, when I find out the date, will be a bit early, as I had a very long cycle and I'm down in the system as being a good week further on than I actually am.

Well, Happy Halloween all! I've been up since 5.30 (or should that be 4.30?) as staying at a friend's in London and shared a bed with ds, and, of course, he woke up and would not go back to sleep! DP and friends were up til 2am drinking, so thought it was only fair I get up with him as I went to bed at 12! Think I'll be too tired for Halloween shenanigans by the time this evening comes!

PS One week yesterday since I last had a cigarette! Grin Grin Grin

8rubberduckies · 31/10/2010 09:15

Oops cep, cross-posted, it has stopped which is great news! Hope your mind is put at rest soon, even if it means a trip to a and e.

DeadBodyofKaraStarbuckThrace · 31/10/2010 09:16

TMI Alert!!

DS did a poo. Had to change his nappy.

Threw up. Luckily had lots of flannels nearby to catch it in.

WHY WON'T THAT CHILD POTTY TRAIN ARRRRGGGHHHHHH!!!

Cep really glad to hear it has stopped, fingers crossed it doesn't start again

beesok and suprsunny good luck for scans, how far along will you be?

rubberduckies really well done on the smoking, hopefully it'll get easier now.

kara yuk, how old is he? And how old do children potty train? I've got so much to learn!

Gillzz · 31/10/2010 10:09

Hi every1,

Spoke to friend who says as my antenatal is 12+1 I will get scan 2 as she did, did get little book telling me about screening! Thank god can now count down days 26/11!!

cep my friend who has healthy baby girl at 7 months had bleeding at 7-8 weeks and 11 weeks and everything fine! my fingers are crossed! I dreamt last night I wiped myself and there was blood and feel horrible! So really thinking of you xxxxx

DeadBodyofKaraStarbuckThrace · 31/10/2010 10:30

DS is 2.10. As to when children potty train it very much depends on the child. I know some children same age as DS who have been out of nappies for months, but some children take longer.

Beesok · 31/10/2010 11:00

Thanks yellowtomato! I think I will be 6 + 1 (my conception date was probably 20 Sept) but I have an inverted uterus so I think it might be difficult to see thing on the scan.

On the positive side for some reason I started looking at post partum bands ;) yep, I know I have a lot of time to think about THAT but am keen on trying them out, anyone used them before?

cep · 31/10/2010 11:03

was some more when i last wiped so after we've dropped dss we're going to go to a&e will let you all know later what happens.

Wobblewatcher · 31/10/2010 11:08

Good luck cep xx

DeadBodyofKaraStarbuckThrace · 31/10/2010 11:17

Good luck at the hospital cep, thinking of you. I fell over last night, no alcohol, but still can't negotiate heels and kerbs - managed to hold in the tears until I got home and then sobbed. Everything is such a worry.

8rubberduckies · 31/10/2010 11:57

Good luck Cep

broughthimroundtotheidea · 31/10/2010 12:37

Everything crossed for you cep sure you will be fine, and they will give you positive news.
Congratulations on the wedding crumble
and high five 8rubberduckies!
I tried to go for first run for 10 weeks today, and got about half a K before I stopped as boobs were killing me. Then decided to power walk the rest of the way. Seeing loads of the other local runners who must have been wondering why I wasn't running. Then saw a family friend who stopped me and said "it's not like you to be walking!" I had to say " I'm out of practise!" the shame!!!!

sasamaxx · 31/10/2010 14:40

cep best of luck today
rubberduckies you're doing brilliantly - keep it up!!
yellowtomato - potty training varies ENORMOUSLY - DS was 3.2 - DD was 1.7
barbielovesken - I cannot believe your guests!! Bet you're glad that's over with. My bump is undeniable now - No clothes seem to hide it so my secret's going to be out in no time as well.
nursesunshine - hope you're ok and things are sorted between you and DP

Well that's the in-laws told now - visited them yesterday (4hr round trip - exhausting).
Today is my birthday so out for a meal later - really don't know if it's a good idea or not the way I'm feeling but I'll give it a shot.

My ms isn't quite constant any more - it's cleared up by evening the last couple of nights which has been great but it's pretty much a constant companion the rest of the time - even though I have never actually been sick.

Off to carve a pumpkin - hope everyone is well today [hsmile]

broughthimroundtotheidea · 31/10/2010 15:07

Happy birthday sasamaxx !! x
