So pleased for you kiwi, hugely exciting having a date so soon. And sounds much more positive for you too Hannah - and no, you are not the only overtly hormonal/weepy one...I keep bursting into tears for no immediate reason - just nerves and hormones I suppose.
Parker, realised had not said massive congratulations on your fantastic news - hope you are loving being a new mummy to Darcie!!
Wish my baby would just arrive - 39 weeks tomorrow, but last time dd came at 38+5 so had somehow expected him by now!!

littlehuman · 30/12/2010 18:42

hi everyone
congratulations parker and jobi
Parker :when i saw your last post i thought you might be in labor according to the description of your pain but i didnt say nothing in case i was wrong! Wink

Brooklyne doing well, got a 5 days chack tmrw(already 5 days!)
milk absolutly overflowing now, got to sleep with a reusable nappy across my chest and a tight top over it(thats the best thing i found so far lol)

so in love with my daughter , cant take my eyes of her. never thought i ll be like that!

LadyBuzz · 30/12/2010 18:54

aww littlehuman that is lovely! Loving the nappy on the chest Grin

wintersnuffle · 30/12/2010 19:52

That sounds much better kiwi and hannah.

Sorry it's not going a bit quicker mummychicken hope the delay doesn't mean you have to do too many more injections.Sad

deedee DS arrived at 38+2 (which is exactly what I am today) so I'm also struggling with the idea I'm going to get more pregnant!

littlehuman glad you're loving being a mummy Smile.

mummychicken · 30/12/2010 22:42

Another night in hospial with nothing happening. Will be given gel tomorrow am. still having to inject insulin until labour established then on a drip.

on the plus side, my DS brain age is now 26 and have tetris which i can play instead ofsuper bloody mario which is beyond me Grin

mummychicken how frustrating for you. Hope you see some movement today.

sarrita · 31/12/2010 09:36

Brilliant news luckykitty, littlehuman, Parker and jobi. Congratulations!

Brilliant to hear of these new arrivals.

Glad to hear that your mental agility is on the up if nothing else mummyshicken. It must be very frustrating for you!

Good luck with it everyone else.

I am sure my baby has dropped; less heartburn which is a sign. Feel like I will pop so hope this little one comes soon.

Have a brilliant old years night. And catch up with you all in 2011.

Bring on the babies!

MacMomo · 31/12/2010 10:41

Section in one hour, delayed due emergency section (poor lady). It is odd - feels like waiting for a bus not having a baby. Everyone asks how I am; answer is HUNGRY! Have a nice lady surgeon (my mum thinks ladies do smaller stitches...). Still haven't got a name for the Prawn, how long do we have to agree to one? was hoping to have it decided by now - after a few days of no sleep and crazy hormones, she could get called anything!

sarrita · 31/12/2010 10:50

Good luck MacMomo. Very very exciting. You are just about to meet your baby - the wait is nearly over.

Call her after the surgeon?

deedee321 · 31/12/2010 11:13

Oh my goodness, good luck MacMomo, let us know how you've got on!!
I so hope things get moving for you mummychicken!

LadyBuzz · 31/12/2010 11:27

macmomo good luck - thinking of you!

MacMomo · 31/12/2010 13:23

Well they're just taking the third emergency section to theatre now, so I won't be on until three. Nil by mouth since ten last night so now on a drip. Have now had a change of surgeon and dh nearly passed out during cannula insertion. Have been here six hrs now but could be worse, feel sorry for the ladies having the emergency sections, they must be exhausted. New surgeons name is anna so maybe that will do of she stitches nicely! Hope the other new mums are doing well - lots of december babies in this January group!

mummychicken · 31/12/2010 13:33

macmomo i feel your pain with the waiting!

DH just been for a visit- wish he hadnt bothered, told me about how he cant sleep at night and how shit he feels with the "FLU"

ffs has he ever tried to sleep in a ward where they have to check bp every 2 hrs (not me) and keep on admitting new people who spend the night groaning. He doesnt even have to look after DS as my mum is doing that.

can you tell im getting a bit pissed off

littlehuman · 31/12/2010 13:49

mac momo

good luck for this afternoon you ll have one of the last 2010 babies!

you got 3 weeks to register your child so 3 weeks to decide on a name
x

MacMomo · 31/12/2010 13:56

mummychicken oh man that sucks

Hannah1890 · 31/12/2010 14:02

Sending my sympathy to you both Macmomo and mummychicken really rubbish for you both, hope you're both holding your LO's soon.

Didnt sleep here last night period like pains in back and tummy not always at same time as braxton hicks, so dont think were any closer but trying to stay positive thinking any discomfort is my body getting itself ready...

MacMomo · 31/12/2010 17:17

mummychicken any news for you?

Still waiting - ten hours after arriving. They finished doing emergency sections at 1400 and are now clearing the backlog of ulcer patients. And there was me being told I had to have the section urgently for the sake of the baby. Oh well, if it waits any longer we will have the drunks arriving...

Happ new year - sorry to whinge! All will be forgotten when she's here Smile x

wintersnuffle · 31/12/2010 19:16

macmomo that is totally rubbish but your comment about waiting for a bus did make me smile.

mummychicken that's not so good on the injections but at least you will be totally mentally agile by the time the baby arrives.

I'm sure when I had DS it was 6 weeks to register, 3 weeks seems a little short as we still have no ideas at all. I'm hoping when DC arrives it will inspire us but at the moment still not even a shortlist...

hannah here's hoping it is preparation and you will also have your baby soon.

Midwife came today and dropped off everything we need for the homebirth, I really hope it all works out this time but so long as we get through it safely it doesn't really matter where or how!

beijingaling · 01/01/2011 06:30

Hope macmomo and mummychicken have news about new arrivals! Best wishes to you both.

Lots of period like cramps and back cramps last night at about 10pm. I was convinced that this was it, the baby was coming. Went for a short walk and everything stopped.

Happy new year & best wishes to all.

WalkTheDog · 01/01/2011 12:48

Happy New Year to all mums, bumps and babies Grin

Hope you finally got your Csection MacMomo and something is going on with you mummychicken.

We hit the local for one drink - went crazy and had a diet coke Wink, managed to stay up for the bells and beyond with all that caffeine in my system.

Yesterday was what I thought was my due date, first two scans put me a week further so 39+1 now, except MW measured me at 42 wks last week. Baby still not engaged and lying slightly to one side.

Floopy21 · 01/01/2011 14:05

Happy New Year mums to be!

I was hoping it is OK to join this thread, was due on 24th December, but still waiting on little one to make an apperance, so 2011 it is! Bouncing on a ball hoping to avoid a sweep on Monday...

mummychicken · 01/01/2011 20:45

Elizabeth (known as Libby ) arrived on 1.1.11.

A grand total of 53 mins labour Grin

I left the antenatal ward at 00.20 and only just got to the delivery room and the head was out. Midwife pulled down my knickers and caught her at 00.23.!

I was meant to have an isulin drip and everything but there wasn't time! My blood sugar and Libby's are both fine! No more needles!!!
