March 2011 - rolling on into the second trimester

We filled the first thread, time for a new one. Anyone and everyone due in March 2011 are welcome.

I am changing my due date as my report from the scan said I was 11 +4 instead of exactly 12 weeks and am going to ask MW to change it too as if I go overdue again then those extra 3 days will hopefully help me avoid induction.

Although I will probably regret this decision nearer the time.

KPidgeon sorry to hear you?re still in the grip of the sickness. I found frequent snacking, ice cold water and loose clothing helped me ? couldn?t bear necklaces or tight waistbands. Also crying with self pity helped sometimes

So Mendip have you fessed up to your boss now?? Hope he?s been ok!

niamh wishing you good luck for your scan next week.

Zatzi I think several of us can now testify to New Look being a good place to start for cheap maternity clothes! I too am a Primark/H&M/steal from sister?s wardrobe kind of girl . The 3 pack of bump bands from New Look (£10) would extend the life of your normal trousers for a while as they will hold up your trousers and hide the fact that your button/flies are undone!

Is anyone else ballooning in the evenings? I am quite trim in the morning, but after dinner seem to develop a monster bump... I guess my stomach/bladder just have to expand outwards now?

I looked it up and for 14 ish weeks pg (I'm 14+4) the baby is about 3.5 inches long! Isn't that incredible!

This bit between the first scan and getting to hear a heartbeat is pretty hard though, it's too early to feel movement and you've got no way of checking if everything is still ok

How's snapdragon by the way, haven't seen you for a while?

Hi spilt my booking ws on friday it went well, had appt at hospital today for booking bloods and combined screening bloods. wish it could have all been done at the booking appt on friday.

I have my scan on monday the time cannot go fast enough because sickness and boob tenderness have all but gone so I'm starting to worry about the baby plus I keep reading all these sad stories about missed miscarriages and I can't help but worry. In my first pregnancy I was so laid back about everything, this time round I'm so aware of everything that can go wrong.
I'm hoping as long as the scan is ok I can finally relax.

Hi Spilttheteaagain, funny to hear about your Mum and sister.

All my friends just say "I won't tell anyone, I'll leave that to you. I'd hate to spoil the surprise" whereas my mother in law is just GAGGING to tell the whole world! I don't want the poor lady to suffer (after all, she is genuinely excited bless her) but I wish I didn't have to keep explaining myself to her.

Funnily enough, my stomach seems bigger in the evenings too - but that is probably because I've normally just eaten a kilo of lasagne

SFB So sorry to hear. DH has banned me from MN as well because I keep on getting these weird baby dreams which I never got before. I therefore pray that my scan will bring me good news on the 9th.

Hi to everyone and all the newbies.

We had a lovely weekend here. Managed to get DD stay overnight at inlaws on Sunday(not something we done often, did so a few weeks ago and she loved it and this time they were keen as well). DH and I then had a proper adult restaurant dinner and we then went to the cinema and watch Salt. I love my action movies and Angeline Jolie is in it.

We then collected her Monday morning and went to Milton Keynes to do some shopping but only managed to get Maternity bras from Mother care. Next did not stock maternity wear and wasnt sure if they had a New Look, but managed to get a maternity jeggings for £8 and a cardigan from our local New Look. Most of their things were sold out and did not like the tops with the writings on.

We then stayed overnight in a hotel and today spent the day at Gullivers Land and DD had a blast. Only got home after 7pm. I am so knackered so off to bed now.

I had my scan yesterday and wow, it was the best thing i've ever seen. (Photo is on my profile - am very proud!) Was very a bit worried beforehand so decided to keep a low profile but now I just want to tell the world!

I have now decided I can finally go shopping for maternity clothes and stop kidding myself that I can still fit into normal pants! I'm not really sure where stock them in my home town so might have to venture further afield (or online if i'm feeling lazy) I have 2 weeks off work and fully intend to sleep for most of time.

For all those still waiting for your my only hint for making it come quicker is to keep busy.

For all those who have suffered a loss I cannot imagine how you are feeling but my heart goes out to you and your families.

spilttheteaagain was having the same exact thoughts as you re: the late night er, bloat as this morning i feel rather trim! having said that, I went swimming with a friend yesterday am and couldn't fit the towel around my waist. was so embarassed but only cuz I can't say anything yet.

Hopefully in THREE days i will no longer be emabarrased but proud!

My bump is huge by the evening as well, I get up and don't even look pregnant but by the time I get home from work it is huge!! My DH says it was like that last time, its funny how you forget stuff isn't it?!

Tried to call my boss yesterday but he was in meetings all day so didn't get hold of him. We're going away for a few days later today so I'll leave it till Monday now.

hiya guys..sorry for the late response, been busy with dd1 ( 2 yrs0 dd2 (1 yrs)

well..my scan showed im 9 weeks and 4 days, which means i found out when i was 1 week pregnant?! is that even possible...

got a re-scan on 21 to date me properly.

just caught up so sorry flower and sfb!

crikey mama2plusbump what pregnancy test did you use? I'm having my delayed first scan on the 21st September so you're not the last on here! Mine will be at an estimated 13 weeks & 3 days so I hope all will be well.

Welcome haloflo congratulations on your scan. I can't WAIT for mine..

I think I'm only 10 weeks and a few days but as I said I'm firmly in my maternity trousers and loving it. Probably to other people it doesn't look like pregnancy but to me I can see a bump that isn't usually there- and nothing fits comfortably anymore. It definitely grows as the day goes on like some others have said here.

Today- no nausea! (so far) so every other day is better than every day.. fingers crossed it is getting better now and that I will cope with getting up at 4.00 AM on Saturday for our train up to Edinburgh!

Spilt I echo your ballooning in the evenings - crazy really!
I was back to work on a TD day today - I felt so sure people would notice the little bump, especially as I had been doing slimming world since March and have/had lost a total of 3 stone!! It was lovely though cos people were telling me that I looked trim and slimmer still!! Little do they know
Hopefully after scan next week I can tell them all!!

Hi all

Sorry I've been awol over the last week or so. After my spotting I wanted to wait until I'd had a scan before committing myself mentally to the whole pregnancy thing, so took a break for a while.

So sorry to hear all the sad news, am thinking of sfb, flower and jeffily. Hope soph is doing OK.

Had my nuchal scan today, don't get the bloods back until friday night, but the fold measured 1.7 mm, which I think is pretty normal. The sonographer seemed fairly confident I would end up low risk.

I am now officially 13 weeks, scan says 13+3, but would make this baby an immaculate conception, which seems unlikely!

Starting to get a bit bloated, particularly in the evenings but still in my 'own' clothes for now, don't think it will last myuch longer though!

Sorry for the big 'me' post. Just a bit over excited this evening!

mama it is impossible to find out you are pregnant at one week pregnant because pregnancy is dated from the 1st day of your last period so you will have been on your period when you tested or just finished it. That's really bizarre.

I'm 11 weeks now and I've actually been feeling very sick the last week, anyone else getting worse not better?? On the plus side my energy is a bit better (still this is the latest I've been awake in weeks, I'm normally asleep by 10pm!)

niamh I am 13 weeks now and feeling worse if anything. Have spent most of this morning being sick whereas mostly I have just felt sick so far. Oretty sure it's just m/s though as I am, to quote my gran 'fine in myself'

mama I don't think the dating scan results are necessarily 100% accurates, it's only a question of a couple of millimetres to shift the dates quite a way either side.

My typing is clearly not 100% accurate today either!

clear blue conception indicator..i hope its not a sign that things are going to go wrong...

i found out on clear clear on the 12 july, and it said 1-2 weeks, i had my last period on 3 june. i had a scan on 27 august and measured i think 9 weeks and 4/5 days.

im confused.

considering last pregnancy i found out when i was 16 weeks this is just abit strange.

i think that makes it when i was just over 2 weeks pregnant?!
