I have a huge tummy - it's suddenly expanded, but it seems to be big really high up (sort of , not sure if that is because its my third and I have no stomach muscles! And everything is being pushed up - is anyone else finding this?

I feel a bit embarrassed - if I'm like this at 12 weeks what I am going to be like at 40 wks

Hi everyone - please can I join you? My due date is now confirmed as 28 March 2011 following an early scan this week. I had a very difficult first pregnancy (DS is now 4) and following his birth I was diagnosed with Addisons disease (rare auto-immune disease) For these reasons, together with my age (am 39 in 2 days!) I was offered the early scan -and I'm relieved to say that all is well at the moment. I've been registered with MN for some time but am not a 'regular'. Am looking forward to being part of the gang. Best wishes to you all x

am finding it very hard to stop worrying about this baby so ended up back at the epu unit on firday thinking the worse as ive been really ill this past week with tooth ach head ach now got a cold the list goes on ,,, only to see my lille pumkin sucking her thumb (sure its a girl to be giving me this much stress lol)and a nice heart beat will put photo on here later at only 9 weeks 3 days u can make parts of the body out all i can think was wow after the week before scan look like a blob, going to try and get on with life now got 12 week scan on the 17th sep and booking with mw on the 15th sep so looking forward to that week not sure why could be on the same day thinks they like my car parking money lol

anyway everyone hope u all ok and haveing a great weekend shame about the weather but it is bank holiday x

My scan is tomorrow - starting to feel a bit nervous now!

Zatzi I'm pretty sure you could get away with not buying maternity clothes at the moment - lots of tunic, empire line tops around which should do the trick. I've bought a pair of black work trousers from next maternity and might get a pair of jeans but thats it really - going to try and make do.

Ebay is worth a look - lots of cheap maternity clothes on there.

Emma - sorry you've been feeling so rough this week and glad your scan went well. Hope you feel better soon

alas babyshitforbrains didn't make it. Emergency scan at a&e revealed a mmc, baby just lying in there dead.
Sad, but trying to be pragmatic.

Please remove me from the list and I wish you all the very best.
Looking forward to giving DCs a big hug when they wake up, as I am feeling especially grateful for the happy healthy boys I already have.

My scan is next week, I've been a bit worried as my symptoms have all eased don't feel sick or as exhausted anymore. I just hope the scan reveals good news. Has anyone else noticed their symptoms have easesd?

I have a horrible ulcer in my mouth a canker sore it is so painful I can hardly open my mouth, has been like this for 3 days now I can't sleep because of it. I may make emergency appt at dentist tomorrow but worried I won't be able to take anything because of pregnancy.

hi me23 i had the same thing last week with my teeth and 2 ulcers i was in so much pain ive never had pain like it before had to take my self to kings hospital in the end but all they said is to use mouth wash and pain killers as there not much else they can do ..... took so many pain killers that had to have a scan to make sure i didnt harm baby thank god all ok my symptoms have eased to with out looking at the scan photos i wouldnt think i was pregnant its such a scary time wish u luck hope u feel better soon it took me 4 days of mouth wash to stop the pain thinking of u .......

Hello all

I had my scan today - all okay. Was lovely to see the little bean wriggling around. Made me feel very lucky that all is well after the sad news on here recently.

They put my date forward too which was nice - was expecting it to go back. Am 12+6 instead of 12+1, with new due date of 8th March, so now Oceanbreeze and Clucky are my new due date buddies.

Glad you are feeling better now. How many painkillers did you take? that must have been scary waiting for the scan am glad everytrhing is ok.

I have to go to the hospital tomorrow morning to have blood taken for nuchal and all other usual bloods.

Oh sfb I am so very sorry for your loss. Life is unfair sometimes. I will really miss you on here, your comments always make me giggle. I wish you all the best for the future and for happier times ahead. I hope you are getting lots of support in RL and lots of hugs from your boys.

A quick and slightly late update from me. 11th week scan went well on Fri. Baby was sleeping with back to us, had to be jostled awake (on Mum's insistence ) and obliged us with some hand-waving and wriggling about :) . I am so-o-o-o relieved (tho would have liked clearer U/S photo). Due date revised. Have spent weekend in a daze....

Just wanted to pop in and wish you all well. I was on the March 2010 thread (which seems like about 2 minutes ago). I was due 9th March but DD was born on 19th Feb at home as planned.

She's now 6 months and the cutest thing you ever saw.

Hi me23 i used well still using corsodyl mouth wash its horrible but working great i must have had from 4 to 6 paracetamol at night and more in the day i kept wakeing up in pain so sum nights i lost count and could have took more but the pain was so bad am glad its getting better now, good luck with ure blood test 2morrow and hope u feeling better i got mine on the 15th long way away lol

I just cried reading SFB's sad news. Oh dear, this whole thing is rather dramatic isn't it? I hope SFB is getting lots of support from her family and hugs from her kids.

As for me, I'm going well. Still haven't organised a scan - I'm a bit slack about such things. I will get there eventually.

My mother-in-law is just ITCHING to tell all her friends about my pregnancy. She keeps asking "can I tell people yet?" In fact, she has already (naughtily) spilled the beans to one friend. I wish she would just wait - especially when I hear sad news like SFB's. I just don't think I could handle having such a sad conversation with people I don't know very well.
