does lo have a dummy? Rileigh is far more settled with hers. We couldnt have her in bed as she grunts and thrashes about too much. Maybe you could try till you move and see how it goes? X

Oh mlic you poor thing. Wish therebwas something i could say or advise to give. Worse still that you have another ds to get your attention too. I dont know i really think they should try and push for the video thing. Theres obviously something really botherering him and even though he's not dropping weight it xoesnt allow you to lead a normal life. Really hope something gets sorted soon.
Poor ellie in bad form this morn with the cold. Dont know what to do with her.
Chulita 10months!!! Thank god she's not crying with it yet!

Chulita · 13/09/2010 12:44

Yea, she didn't cry, just dribbled all the time, red cheeks and hands shoved in her mouth. She only cried the week they actually broke through.

We have a breakthrough! Sam's asleep in his swing [whispers] I might get some knitting done while both children are asleep [tiptoes out]

viksam · 13/09/2010 15:20

mylife Do u have a health visitor drop in clinic u could go to to chat about everything? Do u go to any groups, i know its helped me to talk with the other moms about stuff. Im sure its just a phase but that doesnt help at all i know.
chulita the swing has saved my sanity im sure, did u get knitting done?

viksam · 13/09/2010 20:39

tsc The course u did sounds interesting, i can not imagine how difficult it is with a toddler, i do feel sorry for u guys who are struggling with that. I agree with ur sentiment 'what ever gets u through' hense the wonder swing!!
mylife how have things been today? I hope ur feeling a bit better.
DH My cousins baby was born with teeth coming through so i guess he possible could, have u asked the HV.
Is anyone still getting home visits from the HV? I only had two, is that normal?

I have my '6' week check tomorrow, should be interesting, no idea what to expect, i had better think about whats wrong with me, i may have to make a list, i have a head like a sieve atm.

Glad your feeling better mlic. Its just really tough going at the minute so rant all you like :-)
vik ellie still pretty much the same. She just sleeping all day really the poor thing. Just feel sorry for her trying to cry and she all bunged up and sneezing all the time! Dont want to put her on anything though so unless she gets worse im just going to ride it out. Kind of glad that i have it too cos i feel justified in stayin all warm and cosy in bed with her and doing nothing else!

stac14 · 14/09/2010 07:30

we all need to rant mlic thats what we're here for. Nothing worse than having a hard time and keeping to yourself. How was william last night?

viks my hv is still visiting but for the same reason as mlic i was high risk of pnd. She is coming today, hope she remembers the scales or shes not getting in lol

Aw kk the poor wee yin. Its great having cosy days. We had one yesterday. How was your mums party? Or was that last wk?

chulita tsc is right you do whats right for you. Ds co-slept for so long as it was just me and him (probs kind of selfish of me) but now i know how hard it was to get him into his own bed i am trying not to co-sleep with rileigh.

tsc i feed on demand during the day then she seems full enough to go all night. Although i think she may have improved since we changed to the hungry baby milk.

becky are you going to the exercise class tomorrow? If you are can we meet you and sam beforehand?

Hows everyone else? X

Chulita · 14/09/2010 08:17

viks I just had the one visit from the hv but we didn't have any ishoos so I've not had Sam weighed for nearly 6 weeks cos I keep forgetting when the weigh in is.

Awful night last night, Sam was awake most of it with horrible wind/screaming and DD woke up three times needing to be settled - the 3rd time I was dozing thinking DH would get her completely forgetting he's not here Blush soooo tired this morning!

chulita Lyndon chews his hands all the time, my nephew started teething at 8 weeks and by 16 weeks he had 4 teeth, my sis had to stop bf ing as he used to bite and when she cried out in pain he would clamp on and grin!
Lyndon slept til 5.15 had feed, was back asleep by 5.30 and has just woke up!

i hardly bled after i had Lyndon, i had the depo injection 3 weeks ago and ive been bleeding ever since, very annoying, actually started feeling up for 'it' recently and cant do anything :(
got Lyndons jabs in morning im dreading it :( :(

Morning!

Dylan's sleeping is getting worse I think, went down at about 8:45, woke at 1:30, fed then woke at 3ish, then 6ish then about 7:10, managed to doze til half 7.

Gave him a feed and we both had a sleep from 9-10 which helps SO much to keep me sane.

Looks like another day stuck indoors, no one to see and weather is shit.
I expressed 5oz in about 5 mins this morning! Very proud of myself and its a nice feeling not having to worry about it all day.

Needle · 14/09/2010 13:42

Memphis83 - thank you for your response the other day- I'm sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you, but what with the relative lack of sleep Gwen's been getting it's so hard to get online!
The problem is that we moved house last week- DH's work has dragged us from our nice little place in North London to a former strip club in Vauxhall. I'm pretty sure that under the 30 years of dirt and nicotine, the new place is going to be beautiful, but at the moment it's hard to be enthusiastic about living in a house with poles (and I don't mean the kind that're handy with a wrench) on the ground floor and what was probably a knocking shop upstairs Confused.

Baby is sleeping much better now though- I think it might have just been the move that upset her rhythm. It's certainly messed up mine! I've not found a doctor yet so she's missed her six week check completely and I've not had her weighed for about 3 weeks. I only saw the Health Visitor once and she was about as much use as a fishnet condom. She seems fine, but of course Idon't know what fine looks like in a 7 week old baby, so for all I know i could be f*ing this up completely and not knowing any better.

Does anyone else have any experience of moving with a newborn? I'm completely out at sea here- i don't know anyone in the area, don't know where the children's centres are and we don't even have neighbours. /the new house even has cages on the windows- talk about feeling isolated!

memphis83 · 14/09/2010 13:58

dh what does the hv say? do you think he is hungry at these times or is just restless?
needle wow you mean literally with the strip club house!! love the cages on the windows at least your safe from burgulars Grin could you not look at sure start in the area they will do some groups then new mums could help you find other things?
doctors have cancelled his jabs due to illness, had to take our pushchair back to be sent for repair, according to i candy it has broke due to forcing the clip on the canopy so we have to pay £35 i went nuts over £600 for a pushchair and 9 weeks in i have to pay to repair it, what the hell is a warrenty for so although i have the base to my pushchair and the next stage seat they have told me i cant use that bit until he is 6 months so if i dont use that bit im without a pushchair for 2 weeks, they offered me a loan of one but it looked like it had been pulled from a skip!

Needle · 14/09/2010 14:31

Argh, just spent ages typing a big long response only for my computer to have a spaz and delete.

Memphis83 OMG, what are you going to do without your pram? I'd be completely lost without mine- the minute I put Gwendolyn into it she's sparko. Admittedly, my mother has got it into her head that the chassis is bent and every time I speak to her she nags for about 20mins about "have you sent it back to Silver Cross yet?". There's NOTHING WRONG with it!

The Strip Club Move is definitely the weirdest experience of my life. DH is turning it into a theatre, but the word hasnt quite got round that it's been closed for three months, ever since the manager was murdered on holiday, so we get men banging on the door morning noon and night trying to get in and mistaking my friends for strippers.
Ah well, it'll be glorious when it's all done.

memphis I havent seen my HV in nearly a month and shes not coming round til next month, I know I can ring her but might just wait and see how he goes, maybe its a growth spurt?

Ive just booked to go to a baby group tomoro, its an 8 week course and they teach you lots of things to do with your baby and a chance to meet other mums, looking forward to it.

Needle · 14/09/2010 15:23

Have just discovered sainsburys shopping delivery. Joy.

MLIC that's why we bought the Kensington- I walk everywhere, so I needed something that I could get a week's grocery shopping on, and the baby just conks out the minute we put her in. Admittedly, it takes twice as long to do anything because every 20yds you get stopped by an old lady wanting to reminisce.

Adventure is one way of putting it. Basically, I've run away and joined the circus. Wouldn't change it for anything though.

I couldn't get any wind out of Gwendolyn for a couple of weeks, but i put her on Infacol for ten days and she burps like a champ now. Have you tried it?

Needle · 14/09/2010 15:28

DH that baby group sounds great- how did you find out about it?
