This is the new thread taking over from "Feb 2011... Where only us and a select few know"

So sad that not everyone will be joining us on the new thread but here's looking to the future and hoping we start to see some lovely scans and good news from everyone in the next month

Angels you can have some of my appetite!! I'm eating about 2,000 calories a day and its not healthy calories!

I've put on 6lbs now (16 weeks) not sure if this is normal or not?

Who knows, I have had the guts time to weigh myself for a while. I'll do it in a bit and let you know!

Can anyone else feel the baby moving? I'm sure I can but it seems awfully early. I know you are meant to be able to feel it earlier the second time around but surely not at 12 weeks?

Someone pass the anti sickness drugs my way please..

Just had scan, all good, seemed much clearer than my previous two babies!!!Just the one baby, guess I'm just unlucky with the sickness this time!!
Absolutely over the moon, can't believe how much it was moving the Dr also seemed quite surprised, also so relieved, know its my 3rd but was really nervous this time.

sweetnit.. I also swear I have been able to feel this baby move recently I thought it was wishful thinking at 13 weeks but watching flip about today am even more convinced

Have just discovered that I have lost about 6lb which was a surprise. I was away on camp last week so had a very active week and didn't eat loads so it might be related.

Had NS this morning and am v pleased. Got really nice new and better pics of baby who was very active spinning around and kicking and jumping up and down! Much better than my NHS scan which was grainy and baby was being v dull and just lying there. DS risk was adjusted and has gone down massively so I am really reassured by that.

Not sure what the process is for joining this group - is there one? - but I'm due February 3rd 2011 so hopefully will just sneak in the Febs. Not felt the baby moving yet, but getting rather bumpy so am hoping it moves soon!

I've not been on for a while as had a nasty vomiting bug - much worse than my morning sickness ever was. I've not been sick now for 24 hours but have no real appetite - a real change from the constant need to nibble that I've had for the last 6 weeks, hopefully a sign that the normalcy of the 2nd trimester is kicking in.

I have officially announced my pregnancy today - a real weight off my mind as I'm sure I've lied to far too many people in the last few weeks! Still haven't had the results back from my DS blood test that was over 2 weeks ago - assuming that I'm low risk though, as they said that they would phone me within a week of the scan if high risk.

Hi All,

Sorry for lack of contact, I have been on holiday. So sorry to hear your news Chloe, its a horrible thing to go through and it was always my fair to find out at scan, its almost better to start bleeding the day before, at least I think so after having a mc at 11 weeks earlier this year.

On a positive note I had my 12 week scan today and everything seems ok this time round, what a relief, still can't believe it was positive.

My due date is now 20.02.2011

Hi all, been to see specialist about my ibs today. Nothing much they can do with being pregnant however they suggested peppermint drops in tea to help relieve cramps and have referred me to a dietician to try and help me find foods which won't aggravate it. Hope you're all well x

Hello everyone and welcome newbies! Lovely news of scans, so nice to hear, and also that there is less ms amongst us now! Yay! Can't say as I'm feeling quite that I'm blooming yet, tired too, but I have a definate bump now which has gone slightly beyond the been eating all the pies stage which is good!

Sweetnit, I too have been convinced that I can feel flutterings from baby, I'm certain. I even found myself Googling it the other day as I too felt this must be impossibly early, but no, there are plenty out there who feel it at this stage! It's lovely and reassuring. On top of that I got a heartbeat tonight on the Doppler which was sooooo good to hear! So that's me just shy of 14 weeks before hearing it clearly. Took a while to locate, seems to be moving all over! I thoroughly recommend one of these dopplers called Angel Sounds and they're inexpensive. DD has been listening too which has been nice, she does tend to prefer putting her ear directly to my tummy though and saying -Hellooo baby!

I have my antenatal appt at the hospital tomorrow which, I've been told, MAY last up to 2 hours. Can anyone remind me of what this involves??! Doubt I'll get the scan as I had one at 11 weeks, as much as I would love one!

I felt DD at almost exactly 14 weeks, and I am tubby and had an anterior placenta.

Right! So 14 weeks is maybe when it all starts to happen & feel real! Nice to hear that plimls!

earlgrey, I was told 3 hours but it ended up being about 1 hour for me. They took down my details, asked me questions about my and DH's medical history and took blood for tests, my scan was also booked at the same time and I got the bounty pack. Hope that helps!

linz it would be interesting to hear what foods you're told aggrevates IBS when you see the dietician. Personally I can't eat beans, pulses, lentils, cabbage, parsnips, swede, pastry, very greasy things (like chip shop chips) and a few other bits as they make my IBS worse.

After 4/5 days of ms getting worse again it was a bit better yesterday, and I only woke up once last night . Keep hoping it's finally wearing off but who knows... Am having manuka honey on toast for breakfast today. I'm pretty sure honey is fine in pg (please rush in asnd tell me if not before I can too far in to my toast!) and I keep hearing specifically manuka honey is some kind of miracle product that does lots of healing in the body that we don't know about etc, so I thought it might do some good.

next door continue to drive me mad using every single dangerous chemical smelly product known to man outside my front windows all week (varnish monday, mastic tuesday and wednesday and today smells like exterior wood paint) which has not been making me feel very good

angels1 honey is fine in pregnancy but not for babies once they're out!
