My lovely husband died today. He was 31.

My sweet, kind, wonderful husband died this morning. He was on his way to meet me and our children and was involved in a car accident. He was 31 and we have 2 DC aged 5 and 2. I am broken and lost and don't know where we go from here. He was my best friend in the whole world, my rock, my voice of reason, and the best dad I could have wished for for our children. Life is so cruel.

My DH was so kind, thoughtful, sweet. Clumsy with his words sometimes but his heart was always in the right place. He was always a sturdy rock, he was my voice of reason when I was flapping about something. He never lost his temper and he put up with far too much from me sometimes. He would bring me tea in bed and let me put my cold feet on him to warm up.
He was the best dad ever. He worked a lot but he loved nothing more than spending time with us. He was a fantastic storyteller and would make up silly voices for the kids. He was always the one to play with them and let them ride on his back like a horse.
He was a special, special soul and I will miss him for the rest of my life. He has left an enormous void in our lives that will never be filled.
