Sudden death of my nephew

My 26 year old nephew has just passed away following a charity boxing match last Saturday night which he took part in. He collapsed at the end and never regained consciousness. He was declared brain dead yesterday and donated his organs today.
As a family, we are so completely stunned by what has happened. We’ve never experienced anything so traumatic and dreadful.
His parents are absolutely beside themselves with grief and we just don’t know what to do. It’s awful 😢

I'm so sorry.

His name was Dominic. He was handsome, cheeky and so full of life. He was a graduate of Worcester University and worked in marketing. He loved horse racing and football and was a huge West Bromwich Albion supporter. He was a much loved son, brother, nephew and cousin. His final act of charity was to donate his liver and kidneys to 3 grateful recipients today. We cannot believe he is gone.

I am so sorry for you. I think you will be proud of him forever. I would say
that the numbness and shock never completely goes away, you just learn to live with it. The pain fades with time but the memories and his achievements will be remembered strongly by all that loved him. Rest in peace lovely Dominic x

i am so sorry for your loss, hubby is a huge Albion fan and if you get in touch with the club maybe they can pay a tribute to him at the next home match

It's clear from the report that your family is a very close one and he was a loving and much loved young man. Was it SADS by any chance? It takes far too many young men and isn't routinely screened for in this country, though it is in some.
