TERRIBLE NEWS FROM YORKIEGIRL

tillykins · 10/08/2006 03:25

Yorkiegirl has phoned me from holiday in Portugal; her husband Nigel has collapsed and died tonight.
She thinks it was a stroke or heart attack.
The authorities are trying to get hold of her parents - they are also in Portugal
Fortunately, neither of her DDs saw anything
I don't know much more than that but will post if I have anything else

Yorkie... I'm so so sorry.

If I can do anything at all honey then I'm here. Big hugs to the girls.

You have my prayers.

Much love darling.

Oh God, poor girl. I hope that she has lots of support right now.

Marina · 10/08/2006 10:06

I am so sorry to hear this dreadful news.
What a horrible shock for her, thank goodness at least her parents are on hand to help her on the spot.
Hope there is lots we can do to help her when she returns to the UK.
If I am right in remembering her dh got a job for a local authority, they are usually helpful and compassionate to families when an employed spouse dies.
Oh this really is so sad. Sending you lots of love YG and dds.

Moomin · 10/08/2006 10:07

Read this then had to go to DS2, so sat sobbing while feeding him. YG, thinking of you and the girls, my love - so glad your parents are with you and hope you're home soon. Just wish I was nearer

Can you post a "help for YG" thread Tillykins when you know exactly what's happening with donating, etc?

Just looking at DS1 - he's almost exactly the same age as YG's DD2 Just overwhelmingly awful. Loads of love to all of you, YG x x x x x

(Tis Hunker, btw, posting with a totally inappropriate name)
