In memory of our lovely Aillidh

At 11.25 last night, our beautiful, 9-year-old daughter died of complications from treatment for acute myeloid leukaemia, she went into respiratory failure after contracting human metapneumo virus following conditioning chemotherapy for stem cell transplant.

For many days, she lingered on a ventilator. But last night, she developed a pneumothorax and rapidly deteriorated.

She died within seconds of the ventilator being taken off.

I can't believe she's gone, or how broken her long body looked.

Rest assured, all of us here at MNHQ are keeping expat v much in our thoughts, and those of us who pray, will be doing so tomorrow when the mass is taking place.

OMG Expat... I am so so sorry. I had read about Aillidh on fb.. I have not posted on MN for years but I am an old timer and remember you well I had no idea Aillidh was yours. My thoughts and prayers are with you all xxxxxxx

Olivia - I think Expat should start the next thread if and when she wants. Can you just extend this a little so that people have a place to post for her until she comes back to it?
