In memory of our lovely Aillidh

At 11.25 last night, our beautiful, 9-year-old daughter died of complications from treatment for acute myeloid leukaemia, she went into respiratory failure after contracting human metapneumo virus following conditioning chemotherapy for stem cell transplant.

For many days, she lingered on a ventilator. But last night, she developed a pneumothorax and rapidly deteriorated.

She died within seconds of the ventilator being taken off.

I can't believe she's gone, or how broken her long body looked.

My thoughts and love are with you today and through the times to come. A candle has burned here tonight to light her way .

Dear Expat and Family,You are all very much in my thoughts today, as you have been for quite some time. We are unfortunately too far way to be with you, but me and my little family will say our own goodbye to Aillidh. We are planning to go down down to the beach and place some wild poppies from our garden in the waves.

She will always be remembered. x

Expat and family, our love and thoughts are with you all today, praying for strength to deal with what today brings. We will be in our local woods this morning and in a very beautiful clearing we will release balloons for Aillidh.
