"Too Beautiful for Earth" For Sylvie-Rose and all our Angel Children

For my darling Sylvie-Rose, taken from us just seven weeks after you were born. Too beautiful for this earth but I so wish you could have stayed nonetheless.
And for all the Mums walking this tough path. Let us link arms along the way and not be defeated by the cruel blow life has dealt us.

Hi all! Hope you've all had a good Easter?

I put a photo of my locket, with Tamsin's hair in, on Facebook. I feel so guilty for not wearing it everyday, as I promised her I would, but I'm so scared of the chain breaking, or something happening to it. I think I may upload the photo to my profile here.

I also don't understand men (though I've only produced one). DS made DD so happy by giving DD an Easter Egg. Dsis gave her some full-sized Creme Eggs - not sure why she thought she'd eat them, till my mum told me that was all she had when I gave my nephew one.

Blue I'm so happy for you xx

thanks Tami really love your locket! x

Tamisara · 08/04/2012 21:43

everlong It is on a new chain (the thickest I could afford), but I'm still overly paranoid about it (I realise how silly that sounds). DD1 has a habit of trying to yank it, and I'm not sure that any chain can withstand her :) I did buy some leather thong stuff, figuring that might be stronger, just haven't got around to it (just procrastinating like usual). Everything that is connected to Tamsin is so precious, I'm sure I said before that I put her photos in my handbag every night.

I've been a bit low the last few days, for various reasons. I find that I'm going through the 'pining' stage all over again. I still can't quite believe it.

I've also got a jacket that I bought for Tamsin. I don't know why (I'd already got a few), but this one was special in some way. It is orange (I have no idea why I liked the colour, it just spoke to me if that makes sense?) and the really weird thing is, it has rainbow stripes inside. I never realised for ages after she'd died.

The jacket isn't in her box, she never touched it. It's always out. I like having something meant for her around, and DD1 does like touching it. I hate that she's confined to a 'box', so this way she's always around. Along with the Rainbow Angels I got last Xmas.

Tami, my work colleagues got me a lovely locket but I can't figure out how to open it. And the chain is very thin. I want to get a much better one that I saw on the website where Blue and Whatever got their lively beach photos. But am a bit worried that my colleagues might be offended if they see me with a different locket.

Hi ladies,
just wanted to check in (instead of just lurking)
I hope everyone had a peaceful Easter. Ours was different this year and we all missed our boy but it was okay, we survived and my daughter went to bed with a huge smile on her face and a tummy full of chocolate!

Xx

chipmonkey · 08/04/2012 22:16

Hi Orion! Much chocolate consumed here too and very little in the way of healthy food. We went for a lovely walk on a very cold beach but couldn't help thinking how it ought to have been. I should have been moaning about how the path was unsuitable for the buggy but instead was moaning about ds3 wanting a piggy-back at his age

Where did you get your locket tami I have a lock of Richard's hair but I haven't seen a locket for it.

Barely had a chance to think today, we were planning on going to a local national trust place with the dcs but as we ended up at the hospital with Ella last night we put it off.

We headed there at about 11pm last night on the advice of nhs direct. They were going to send an ambulance but we didn't feel that was necessary and so drove there dropping the kids at my parents on the way. She's had a cold for ages and seemed to be struggling with her breathing. Her skin was sucking in under her ribs a bit, not as bad as when she was in scbu but it was noticeable.

Hospital were amazing, saw us as soon as we got there. The receptionist got a nurse right away, we explained the problem and they took us straight through and started assessing her. After the initial obs we waited a little for a dr but that was ok.

Thankfully she was fine, calmed down a lot by then, and they were happy with her. They've said she has silent reflux now though, which has been causing a lot of the coughing and gagging apparently so she's back on the infant gaviscon.

So relieved that she was ok and the dr was lovely, she spoke to a pediatrician to double check and they agreed with her about the reflux. She said it was definitely the right thing to do by taking her in to be seen due to her age and prematurity and that if anything changes or gets worse then to take her right back.

Got back home around 2am when she fed and settled quite quickly, she was exhausted by then! She slept from 2.30 until 9am! so surprised as she usually goes 2-3 hours. I'm thinking that was a one off from being so tired though.

We'd planned to visit Scarlett today but couldn't get there either :( She was and is in my thoughts. My parents took her some flowers a few days ago so at least she has some fresh ones there. We'll go tomorrow all things being well I hope. Hoping things settle down for us and that this year becomes very boring and "normal".

Happy Easter, gentle hugs to all xx

chipmonkey · 08/04/2012 22:47

Lavandes, tami's parents bought her the locket before Tamsin was even conceived. My work colleagues got mine from H Samuel but I don't think it's a brilliant one for the purpose. I'll see if I can find a link to the one on the website I mentioned. It looked really good. Only thing is I'm on my phone so limited ability to surf the web!

chipmonkey · 08/04/2012 22:53

OMG Cheese, what an awful day you had but I'm so glad Ella is OK. Scarlett will understand, in fact she was probably right there with you all the way through.

OP posts:
CheeseandGherkins · 08/04/2012 23:04

chip maybe you're right about Scarlett being there as Ella gave us her first smile while we were at the hospital last night :) That part of the hospital has a crap connection so I couldn't use my phone at all either.

Tamisara · 08/04/2012 23:09

lavandes My parents got it from a jewellers called Hester Clarke, in Aylesbury.
As chip said I got for Christmas '10, and originally meant to put a photo of DS & DD1 in it, but (thankfully as it turns out) I didn't, so it was meant for Tamsin.

cheese I read about Ella on FB. I'm so glad that Ella is OK. She is such a precious little bundle. As chip said, Scarlett will understand, she knows she's in your heart & thoughts, and is with you in spirit (that's what I keep telling myself anyway) xx

shabbapinkfrog · 09/04/2012 09:18

Glad to hear that baby is OK Cheese - you must have been terrified.

Tami - everything settled down at yours now? Think you should let the ladies know on the thread you started - they all seemed very concerned for you.

Morning girls xx

shabba Thanks for the advice, I have done so. I thought as it had dropped off the page, it was silly to update, but you're right, and I have updated. I don't want to drag personal stuff onto this page, as it's not fair on you lovely ladies, but I have accepted my marriage is beyond saving x

It is pissing it down here. I keep hearing about 'Pirates' but have no idea what the film is (take a wild guess at what it is about though). When the TV is on, it is always on Cbeebies, so I don't get a chance to see adverts.

everlong God I remember having to sit through Pokemon, I thought that was bad, so hope it's more enjoyable! x

frasersmummy · 09/04/2012 13:44

tami I am glad you took shabs advice when you have an emotional thread like that if you just leave it suddenly people draw all sorts of wild conclusions ...

i thought we were going to see pirates for ross's b/day but then dh talked him into we bought a zoo..thought it was going to be funny and mainly about animals

turns out it was a real blub fest... just seen chipwrecked this morning ..ds loved it .. better than the other 2 in the series I think

Tami I do understand why you posted away from this thread .. I am not having a go I just think that some people might be thinking shit something really bad has happened and i think its just nice to reassure people when they have taken the time to talk to you in the first place

I dont go in relationships ... far too many scary stories ..i stumbled accross the thread in active convos and cos i knew tami's name I clicked on it so it might be the norm in relationships and no-one bats an eyelid..

sorry if I offended
