"Too Beautiful for Earth" For Sylvie-Rose and all our Angel Children

For my darling Sylvie-Rose, taken from us just seven weeks after you were born. Too beautiful for this earth but I so wish you could have stayed nonetheless.
And for all the Mums walking this tough path. Let us link arms along the way and not be defeated by the cruel blow life has dealt us.

chip I linked to an article I wrote, on facebook (in my maiden name) x

Hi all, and thanks to charleymouse!! have told our families, although in any normal circumstances, we wouldn't. They all cried, especially my brother whose little girl is close in age to Mia. They are so happy for us.

Diets - Argh!! Use more calories than go in - the only reason I have ever exercised!! But yes, I have been trying smaller portions, and that helped a lot. But happy to get get fat and have ginormous boobs for a good cause Grin

Driving to France later today, think we are escaping the freeze!! Hope it gets lost over the Channel...

Funny, I feel so close to Mia at the moment.

Tamisara · 04/04/2012 15:10

Miasmummy Have a fantastic time! It's not funny that you feel close to Mia, it's because you are so close to her, and her to you. She's probably really excited about her little sibling.

Have a great time, though you can't partake of the lovely vino, or the smelly cheese xx

Great article, tami! My Dad was a horticulturalist and an agricultural research scientist and wrote a book on blueberry growing but sadly died before it could be published. But he would have agreed with you totally on the antioxidants in berries! He used to visit loads of blueberry farms and we used to get lovely samples of blueberries, juices and preserves. It was all very nice!

OP posts:
Tamisara · 04/04/2012 17:27

chip I'm so sorry about your dad, is there any way it could be published posthumously? Blueberries are delish! Though I have to add sugar, which kind of ruins the health benefits x

Whatevertheweather · 04/04/2012 18:07

Ooh Katie would eat blueberries until she popped - they are her absolute favourite. We always say she'll end up like Violet from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Grin

Hope you have a peaceful break in France Mias. So lovely to hear how happy your family are for you xx

Just seen on the news the coverage of the snow in the north Shock It's been 17 degrees and sunny here all day!

chipmonkey · 04/04/2012 20:08

I thought I replied here earlier! Tami, my Mum and dsis did look into having it published but I'm not sure what happened. Think perhaps it was something to do with certain pieces needing to be clarified and Dad wasn't around to clarify!

The weather! We had snow on the ground here this morning and to think I thought the boys might help me pitch the tent in the garden and sleep in it over Easter!

Oh and in my phantom reply that disappeared, I also had wanted to wish Mias a lovely trip. She's probably gone by now!

Tamisara · 04/04/2012 20:33

chip I'm sure that Sylvie-Rose will tell Mia to tell her :) xx

Can't believe that we've had no snow! It is a bit cold, but that didn't stop DD1 taking off her shoes, then her socks (in her pushchair, not walking obviously). She then had very cold toes (I don't put them on again, as she thinks it's a game, and I can't afford to replace shoes). The amount of people who tell me she's going to have cold feet - honestly! She loves it though, curls them up :)

chipmonkey · 04/04/2012 21:40

Oh, I know! Ds1 used to hate wearing a hat when he was a baby. He would cry and cry and eventually I would feel sorry for him and take it off. Then invariably some old biddy would come up to me and tell me his "little head" would get cold.

frasersmummy · 05/04/2012 20:40

right i am having a major crisis ..

I have lost my corkscrew... that will teach me not to buy a classy scew top Grin

chipmonkey · 05/04/2012 22:22

I actually love taking the cork out of a bottle of wine. It's like a little ceremony for me and I miss it if we get screw tops. Mind you, losing the corkscrew would be Very Not Good here, frasers!Grin

chip mine is Malibu & Pineapple Wink I'm teetotal now! When is your DS back from Italy?

everlong Ouch, hope your cheeks aren't too painful

Tamisara · 05/04/2012 22:28

FM I don't think I possess a corkscrew - though I do have a screw loose

chipmonkey · 05/04/2012 23:06

OMG! Malibu and pineapple! I used to drink that all the same. And Cointreau and white! What was with our generation and liqueurs. Were we posh or something?

OP posts:
Tamisara · 05/04/2012 23:57

Is Cointreau orange flavoured? If so I hated it. Love Tia Maria, peach Schnapps & Disaranno (sp). Also partial to Mead & Cider & black... aah memories x

chipmonkey · 06/04/2012 00:26

Yes, cointreau is the poor girl's Grand Marnier!
