Can we go and collect some fellas? (feathers).

Please share your own .

Ds1 would say something was 'cockenen' for broken
inside a pedia = encyclopedia

Ds2 called an octopus an opitus

ds4 says vink instead of drink, and if I ask him does he want a vink, he gets very angry shouting 'no! a vink!'
He says cock for clock,
a tatterfiller turns into a futterfly
bubbeebee goes bzzz
an ambience takes you to the hotstool if you have had an axe stood.

OK, not a mispronunciation, but still...

DD(10), after falling off a log face-first into shrubbery during a day out at the forest, said "I just got a face full of bush!"
Much childish giggling ensued between partner and I

DD1 confuses -en with -ed. As in: 'Nemo got scoopen up by that diver.' and my favorite, when DD2 has managed to get hold of stuffed Nemo and slobber on him: 'Oh no! Nemo's been EATED!'

She sings oranges and lemons in her little warbly voice but 'when will you pay me' always comes out 'ven you vill pay me' like a Russian debt collector.

Flippers for slippers (have never corrected this as it makes me smile at 6.30am every day).

diveo for video, and a whole load of weird mixups as they are trilingual, and do some direct translation guesswork when they're not sure

Oh, and I love boomerangs for meringues!

My sister used to call weetabix 'milkabilks' and I once came home from school to find my toys on the radiator having been washed and declared that they were 'all sodding wet'. I think I meant sopping.

DS used to call Morrisons Marge Simpsons for many many years. In fact he's only just stopped it and he's 7

Dd1 loves aminals and enjoys going to the cimena and playing on the coopooter. She also likes dropping 1st syllables, and irritatingly I can't think of an example even though she does it every day all the time
