That our son will be called Bailey!

He will. Not. Stop. Going. On about it.

He's agreed to read the responses to this thread so please fire away (hopefully not too many of you will like it!).

Harrison - no
Sonny - quite like and know one (he is quite naughty though!)
Carter - no (the unstoppable....)
Huxley - the pig!
Bailey - a definite no, worst of the lot! ON second thoughts joint worse with Huxley.

George - lovely
Noah - OK but lots around
Charlie - OK but hundreds around here
Archie - quite nice

You are certainly poles apart. You need to find a name you both agree on but isn't either of your favourites. That is what happened for DS1 and DS2 with us! My DH and I also poles apart re boys names too!

Did you dissuade him in the end? Did you come to a decision? Enquiring minds and all that.

I'm American and it is totally the sort of name my countrywomen who live in McMansions and work out and tan all the time and wear Uggs would choose for their daughters. Only they'd spell it Bailee or similar.

Sample sentence: "OMG, I TOTALLY need to get my nails done before we go out. I'm thinking I'll tan at the gym and then I could go, if you could watch Peyton and Baylee?"

So that's a definite NO from me.

Um, but, I do love Uggs.

Bailey is too surnamey for me, as are all the names on the first list.

You could adopt a Shipping Forecast theme.

Relent on Bailey, but insist on Portland for next one

Not a nice name, especially wen he grows up, bailey on a man just sounds weird
