FAO Teachers: what are your naughty names?

following on from my last thread where a couple of teachers agreed that Lewis was a naughty name, well, the child with the name Lewis is usually naughty, you know what I mean?

So there must be other names that fall in to the same bracket. When a teacher sees a list of new students names and thinks 'that one'll be good and that one'll be a nightmare!'

So teachers list your good and bad names, please!

(And any one else that wants to have a go)

There are always one-offs but the re-offenders are often..

Connor
Jamie (not James)
Lewis (but never Louis)
Tyler
Charlie (although I have taught some lovely Charlies too)

Amy
Ellie
Chloe
Kiera

I do often have soft spots for the terrors though.

I don't there is such a thing as a "naughty" name.

The most challenging children we have had in the nursery I work had names that are more popular with the middle classes; William,Oliver, George etc. The little Jaydens and Connors have always been as good as gold.

In fact the behaviour issues have always been from childen of middle class families.

My sister is a primary school teacher and says Callum, Connor and Cameron are often 'naughty' names - funny they're all C's. She did tell me girls' names too, but this was a lighthearted convo ages ago and can't remember. Only remembered the boys' ones cos they're all Cs.

She currently does home schooling for children who aren't well enough to go to mainstream school - one of her current charges is a Henry and she thinks he's gorgeous. She has previously tutored a Sophie who was lovely too.

Callum, Ryan and Jordan spring to mind for boys.
Anything hyphenated for both genders.

The problems I had (years ago now) were with any that had:

weirdy spelling (I had a Rikci - I kid you not), hyphens, being named after a place or a drink.

Brandon, Braden, Jordan, Ashley, Kyle.

Chloe, Keeley, Chelsea, Shannon.

I teach teenagers so these names might be a bit out of date.

Jordan definitely - boys that is.

Having said that, when I worked with SEN kids I had a list of about 20 kids who had EBD, 19 of them boys and 15 of those had names beginning with J - when I had my two boys I avoided names beginning with J !

I worked in an EBD residential school, most popular name for boys was Samuel, naughtiest boy was James.
Most common girls name Jenna/ Gemma, but I'd say Elizabeth was the naughtiest!

There is a Casey in my dd's class, which I'd think of as a naughty name (although I'm not a teacher) but she is a model student!

Always a Jamie! Danny usually sets my alarms ringing, as does Zac.
For girls, Chelseas always seem to be headstrong (codeword for a nightmare!.
I agree with Weegie about place names. I once taught a horrendous Devon.

I met a friend recently who is a teacher and who said to me 'just don't call it Harry or Harrison- they are all nightmares!'

I was surprised really as wouldn't have expected them to be 'naughty names' (+ quite annoyed as Harry is on our shortlist!!)

I've not taught for many years, but when I did the name I dreaded was Daniel.

Definitely agree with many of the names especially:
Callum, Connor and Jack. I have had experience of several of boys with these names who have had behavioural issues. A new one coming through seems to be Jacob.

Girls would probably by Megan and Kayleigh.
