Denial is not a river in Egypt.
Dh and I are coming from very different places
Me - Gabriel, Xaviere, Christian, Fabian
Dh - Robert, John, Garry, Lee

It just ain't going to happen is it? Can anybody think of something? Anything? Our other two are Alexandra and Theo.

Gabriel is fab; don't like Finn. If dp would give in on gabriel, could you use one of his as a middle name? Gabriel Lee and Gabriel Robert are both fine, as is Gabriel John.

diddl · 22/08/2009 14:45

Also like Rufus & Rory.

Jojay · 22/08/2009 15:06

Edward with Ed or Woody for short

Jasper - gorgeous

I really agree! Considering he thought I was going to die in the way to hospital(nothing serious I just stopped wailing and screaming for a few seconds - so obviously I must be close to popping my clogs) - you would think I'd get a bit of a sympathy vote, but no not a bit of it. Still no further forward today. Why not Finn? Also can't have Sebastion etc as they are not 'manly' enough.

Thanks again everyone for your suggestions - they are helpful, we shall get there.

The only acceptable name on your dh's list I think is Robert(Robbie?)

I like your names, except Xavier.. minefield of pronunciation problems in the UK. Finn reminds me of a child in the hospital when I had dd.. little boy was told his new baby brother was called Finn.. he shouted 'why not Fat!?'

Tristan? Laurence? Nicholas?
good luck

ps try and get gabriel in as a middle name!!

baskingseals · 22/08/2009 20:47

Crumpette - thanks for making me laugh, must say feeling a bit despondent today. I really like Nico, but can't have it with Theo. I've tried Joel and Joseph to no avail. Still in compromise mode I've suggested Sam, but again No. I surrender, but NOT to Garry or Robert.
Thanks again for all suggestions.

baskingseals · 23/08/2009 16:13

Hi, thanks again for all suggestions, they are helping. DH has mentioned Charlie and William, though I like both of them, they're not really my cup of tea. I like Eli and Heath, I'll have another go at him a bit later on after we've finished our row about bookcases. It would be easier if I didn't love Gabriel so much - it's a real mental block. I knew we should have sorted this out before, but oh no - we'll wait to see what he looks like(DH) yeah right.

He looks like a newborn baby.

Gabriel William/Charles?

belgo · 23/08/2009 17:31

If he like Garry and you like Gabriel, what about Guy?

belgo · 23/08/2009 17:33

or Louis pronounced Louie

seeker · 23/08/2009 22:39

Let go of bookshelves and Gabriel. Call him Patrick. It is the best boy's name in the English speaking world.

Doobydoo · 23/08/2009 22:46

Hope you are making some headway
Ds1 could have been Gabriel [or Merlin][that was mine and Thank goodness dp talked me out of it]Ds1 is Finn
Still like Merlin but I think A TV presenter who gets on my nerves has a son by that name.
So Kit
Finn
Milo[ds2's name]
Christian.or Christopher[see Kit]
