I disagree - it's not had a great press on here but it is a perfectly reasonable thing to name a child. There are plenty of thirty year old Katys and Sophies and lots of girls called Kitty atm. Poopy and Daisy abound. I think 'Honey' has the same vibe as those names and it will work fine.

I have a cousin called Honey, in her 40s now. Unusual choice of name for 'back then" I would've thought.

Can't say it grabs me but hey ho. Much prefer Poopy.

You want to call your daughter HONEY and you can't be talked out of it.... well, ok (although it's not ok as it's a name that makes me think of the sex industry) but still, if you have Honor on your child's birth cert then, you can have one to poke people like ME in the eye with (in real life) if they make a snooty comment?!

Honeysuckle is a bit stupid too though. The other half is 'suckle' which is also teaseworthy.

Honey is a baby girls name, or porn star name (sorry!!!! runs for cover)
Whereas Sophie is a perfectly fine female name.

Honey = lovely name, why not, and just to revive (to me) an old chestnut, no worse than Snowdrop which I would def call a winter baby girl, Honey is gorgeous.

No-one, but no-one has ever said that Snowdrop would be a good name, but absolutely seriously, if I had a winter baby girl, and I had already called one DD Harriet, then without hesitation I would call my baby Snowdrop. But sadly I am too old for all that baby malarkey.

They are the bravest flowers and the most beautiful. So if you can have Rose, Lily, Iris, Primrose etc etc why not bloomin Snowdrop?
