Twin brother for Hudson?

zaerth · 23/06/2026 11:54

We're expecting twin boys! We have one name decided on, but are having trouble deciding on the other twin's name. We also have a daughter Ava as well, so we want a name that sounds nice when all three are said together. Any thoughts on these names?

Sawyer

Colby

Callum

Knox

I’m not a fan of any of those, sorry! If I had to pick, I’d say Callum is my favourite but I don’t think it goes well with Hudson. And avoid Knox at all costs, unless you’re trying to create a very particular vibe!

River!

I think Sawyer and Hudson would be nice if you live in America.

In London these would become SAW-YAAA and UDSON, which would put me off.

I like Knox too but again I think these more American style names suit the American accent best

Callum is nice, especially in Scotland.

I really dislike Colby myself.

Bodhi? Brody?

Ava is lovely but your boy names aren’t my taste.

I like Hudson. I think Sawyer, Callum and Knox are nice too. My favourite is Callum.

Not keen on Colby (I think of that as a girls name to be honest).

Callum is my favourite and I don’t actually mind Knox. As they will be twins I would say maybe a avoid another H name.

Calliopespa · 23/06/2026 13:25

Well I really don't think you can call a child Colby.

'It's a type of hard cheese. You might as well call him Cheddar, Roquefort or Manchego.

Sawyer would be my favourite but obviously it's giving full on Twain vibes with Hudson as well.

I think Sawyer goes best with Hudson.

Though I actually think a one syllable name would work nicely.

I think Hudson and Flynn go quite well together.

I also think Finn sounds OK, but again too Huckleberry Finn-ish.
