Need a middle name for Avaley to match her sisters

Hey, so I already have triplet girls who are about to turn 4, and I am currently pregnant again! With twins... so aside from being terrified for that(5 kids is a lot!!) I need help with one of my baby names. The twins are both girls, and we have a name for the first one, Emryn Brielle, and the second one we have the name Avaley picked out, but I can't find any middle names I really love with it. All the other girls have middle names, so I feel like she needs one too! I also want to go well with Emryn Brielle, and the triplets are Wren Eloise, Tatum Rae, and Kit Willow, so I would like it to fit well with the others. There aren't any family names to use because I used my family names on Eloise, Rae, and Kit. Also want to know what you think of all my girls' names because I have gotten mixed reviews in the past! Thanks!

Emryn is lovely. Avaley is not. Sorry, but you did ask. If you insist on it, it probably needs a one syllable second name. Re your kind of vibe as I see it, maybe Skye? But I'd rethink it.

Both Eloise and Wren are nice, but I would have gone the other way round. Kit is lovely, not so keen on Tatum but like Rae. But those ones are done now.

murasaki · 13/05/2026 00:25

Also, best of luck to you, 5 girls!!!

S0j0urn4r · 13/05/2026 00:28

Other kids will call her Avaley Down.

Marcipex · 13/05/2026 00:53

Avaley is a bit complicated!
I can’t say I like Emryn; it sounds like a boys name to me.

I really like the vibe of the triplet’s names.

How about
Lindis Evana
Amber Lois
Iris Maeve
Cara Demelza

Don't think they will – what on earth is that riffing on?

I think she meant 'ave a lie down'

Whereas I read the ending as Lee re pronunciation, so it didn't really work....

Pieceofpurplesky · 13/05/2026 02:23

Avaley Jean

Lins77 · 13/05/2026 02:27

I've never heard Avaley. How is it pronounced?

GoodVibesHere · 13/05/2026 02:35

Emryn sounds like a boy's name.

RoseField1 · 13/05/2026 02:52

Avaley isn't a name. It's just a collection of letters that people won't know how to pronounce. Does it rhyme with Waverley? If so, you could at least spell it Averley if you really need to use it. I don't love Emryn or Brielle but at least Emryn is a real name and middle names don't matter much.
Instead of Avaley what about Aubrey? It's a nice unisex name that matches quite well with Emryn.

I prefer Emrys or Ember to Emryn.

Instead if Aveley, how about Avery or Everly?

If you go ahead with Aveley, how about...
Aveley Arianna
Aveley Alanis
Aveley Estelle
Aveley Maris
Aveley Violette
Aveley Alicia
Aveley Carys
Aveley Eliza
Aveley Nova

Mumofgirls2017 · 13/05/2026 05:26

Emryn Brielle and

Avaley Hazel
avaley jade
avaley josephine
avaley harlow
avaley sofia
avaley madison
avaley june
avaley sienna
avaley quinn
avaley claire

Bigearringsbigsmile · 13/05/2026 05:36

I have no idea how to pronounce either of those names. Brie like cheese? Bri like brian?
Aveley to rhyme with have a lee? Or waverly like the station?
are you American?

CeciliaMars · 13/05/2026 06:13

Avaley I’m confused how to pronounce - does it start with rhyming with wave or have? I heard the name Fenn yesterday which I thought was lovely…

OneRedFinch · 13/05/2026 06:32

I can only assume these names are a wind up, thankfully. Atrocious, the lot of them.

Holdonforsummer · 13/05/2026 07:07

Crikey. On all counts!

comoatoupeira · 13/05/2026 07:08

I think it’s another American

Emryn is a unisex Welsh name.

No it's not.

Someone, possibly in Wales, may have made it up recently, but it's meaningless.

-yn is a masculine ending in Welsh words, for a start.

Emrys is a male Welsh male name, ultimately from the Latin name Ambrosius.

Chersfrozenface · 13/05/2026 07:18

And Avaley is awfully close to the French verb 'avaler' meaning "to swallow".

Apologies, I was thinking of the name Emrys and google misled me!

I sympathise. Google, and especially AI responses, cough up all kind of nonsense.

DisplayPurposesOnly · 13/05/2026 07:21

Split Avaley into Ava Leigh - one first, one middle, job done.

Lins77 · 13/05/2026 07:29

I suspect the intended pronunciation (by the OP) is Ava Leigh, but it looks to me at first glance like Avverly. It seems like a mashup of Ava, Avery, Everly.

And as pointed out above, it's very similar to
the French avaler.

loislovesstewie · 13/05/2026 07:40

Oh god, why do people do this?
