Would probably give him a nickname of Finney

It's a Scottish tradition, brought to America but also alive and kicking in Scotland.

It's not my thing personally, but I can see how people like it: cute on a little person, serious-sounding on a grown up.

I especially don't like surnames or place names for girls - Madison etc.

How about Finn, or Flynn?

It’s now a very American thing and I still think it’s silly. Surnames should be surnames.
