Is the girl name ‘Navy’ just a bit nuts?

When I first heard it I thought it was ridiculous, but now I kind of like it. The thought of shouting ‘Navy’ across the park is a bit silly though isn’t it?

What shall we do with a drunken sailor!! Nah, file under something ok in passing. Sounds trendy and harmless. Both meaningless and militaristic.

I mean, nothing wrong with being on the navy

I thought Grey was short for Graham.

I think it was originally, then people did start to use it as a name. It's not one I'm super fond of, but then I quite like a very classic name.

Sorry, but it makes me think of Village People's gay anthem "In the Navy." Bad idea, IMO.

This.

It's awful for this reason.

Ok, it seems there’s a lot of no’s and a few yes’s.

There is just something about it that I love. No connection to the Navy!

I remember there was a girl in my school called ‘Red’ and I thought is it worse than that? But maybe it is hahah!!

Call her 'Puce' then.

You could always go for Nava, beautiful name, but people would assume your child is Jewish/Israeli.
