We've decided on a middle name - but how to spell it ?!?!

We both love the name Anabel so it's in! However I have no idea how to spell it as there are so many ways.

MN jury, which one do you think is best? What is the most regular way of spelling it??

Not on your list, but I would spell it Annabel.

you spell it whichever way you choose to.

In your op, before you listed the spellings, you said you had decided on Anabel.

Which is the way you obviously want to spell it, so go with that one.

fwiw, if I didn't know any different, I would probably spell it Annabel

Anabel reads as if to be pronounced "Anubble" or "An- Able"

The Belle bits comes form the french for beautiful - hence the e on the end. So e on the end is the 'correct' spelling

Annabel is the usual spelling - one 'n' looks very odd IMO. Anna is Anna, not 'Ana'. Annabell looks like someone wasn't familiar with the name and guessed the spelling from the word 'bell'.

If you go for one 'n' she will spend her life having to correct other people.

The traditional spelling is 'Annabel' - I like 'Annabelle' too though.

I agree leaving an 'n' out sounds unfinished... but go with what feels best for you!

There is an Annabel on MN, spelt that way, so I assume it's the right way.

Another vote for Annabel here. Have a friend with a dd who spells it like that.

I went to school with an Annabel and she spelt it Annabel so that's what I would go with !
