Dying

Or you can't spell Amber

Miggsie · 15/05/2008 22:26

..isn't an ember the remains of a dying fire? I did not know it was a name.
Also people might confuse it with Amber?

expatinscotland · 15/05/2008 22:27

I think not.

controlfreakyagain · 15/05/2008 22:27

NOOOOOOOOOO!

seeker · 15/05/2008 22:27

You are joking, I presume.

I prefer Cinder.

Hassled · 15/05/2008 22:28

No no no. As already said, either you can't spell or it's a dying fire. Neither is good.

shreddies · 15/05/2008 22:28

No. It's Amber gone wrong

Chuffinnora · 15/05/2008 22:28

Makes me think of a fire going out.
Fireman have to make sure all the embers are out.

What other context do you have?

Amapoleon · 15/05/2008 22:28

I don't like it, first thought was of a dying fire. sorry

Ditto Tinker

snowleopard · 15/05/2008 22:31

I kind of like it, but it does make me think of Bella Emberg (though of course no one will have heard of her when Ember is grown up)

PrincessPeaHead · 15/05/2008 22:32

can you continue the theme started by Cinderella and call her Emberella? Sooooo pretty

ha ha

themoon66 · 15/05/2008 22:33

It says 'dying' Ember to me too. Sorry.

Tortington · 15/05/2008 22:34

ember - are you shitting me?

NoBiggy · 15/05/2008 22:34

Have you considered Ashley?

Or Sooty?

(Sorry)

Spidermama · 15/05/2008 22:34

I don't think of embers as dying ... rather warm glowing remnants.

I agree it might sound like Amber said with an Ozzy or South African accent ... simply because people are very familiar with the name Amber so they will try to make sense of what they hear and may not have heard Ember used as a name.

Tortington · 15/05/2008 22:34

under my emberella ella ella ay ay ay under my ember ella ella ella ay ay ay

Would get confused with Amber, people might think you misspelt

MadBadandDangeroustoKnow · 15/05/2008 22:35

Time for a rethink?

It is a very small river in Surrey or part of a fire that is dying. Amber, yes, Ember, no.
