Is the name 'Christopher' a bit too old-fashioned and Boomer-ish? Generally I like 'classic' names but I guess that some can be a bit much...

Yes, it IS dated to the 1970s and there are a lot of Christophers/Chrises around, but a young Chris would be quite unusual.

I'm in my 60s and there was one in every class at school. I think it's fairly timeless.

Christy is a girls name to me. It’s short for Christine, Christina etc
