Won't it be shortened to dull? Lovely as it sounds. I'd use it as a middle name or choose Darcie, Della or Daria.

How can the pronunciation be the same?

I assume the name Dulcie is ‘dul-si’ and Dulce is Latin, so ‘duhl-chey’.

You assume incorrectly @HelenCurlyBrown . It's Dulkeh in Latin but English people usually say it as Dulseh.

Love Dulcie it was on my list for DD, also love Della.

I love it. There was an actress called Dulcie Gray who was delightful. Always makes me think of her.
