PennyLane335 · 21/10/2024 19:09

I am expecting baby number 3 early next year and we are not finding out the gender so I need suggestions of boys and girls names.

Baby number 3 will be sibling to Sloane (girl) and Miller (boy).

Names we like (but are set on) so you can get our vibe-

Boys

  • Archer
  • Henley
  • Cash
  • Lennox

Girls

  • Elara
  • Delaney
  • Lennie
  • Gia

Sounds like the title of an ITVX police drama.

I love your name ideas - it would be boring if everyone had the same few names or if name tastes didn’t vary between people and generations.

From your lists - I really like Archer or Lennox for a boy, or Elara or Gia for a girl. Delaney is lovely too and I love the nn Lane / Laney.

Henley is a girl name isn’t it rather than a boy?
I know both boys and girls called Henley.

What about Foxtons? That’s an amazing name.

What about Wren?

I think Sloane and Cash would not be a great combination, if you are in the U.K.

Cambria - I've know both boys and girls with it

I would probably go for something that didn't make them sound like a firm of solicitors, so that's all your boys' names and half your girls names out.

I'm glad someone else went there. I wasn't brave enough!

I prefer Hotblack Desiato. It was a gift when those two got together.

Out of those options I’d probably go Lennox and Gia.

Woollypullover · 21/10/2024 22:28

I presume you're in the US?

I find it difficult to think of most of these as names because in the UK several of them are just nouns, which means they sound awkward to my ear

US MNers will be able to judge them better.

Yes, miller and Sloane does sound like an estate agency to a British person. I know these sorts of names are big in the US though

BunnyLake · 21/10/2024 22:31

Are you American? The names to me seem more American than British (Miller, Cash, Delaney). I quite like the ones I chose out of your list though (Lennox, Gia).

@PoppysAunt aw I really liked Cash !! I know another little one called Cash and he is so cool!

There’s a Cash on Home & Away. I thought it was weird at first but quite like it now. I wouldn’t call my child it though.

Lennie sounds like a boys name to me. Lenny Henry.
