Janni · 11/04/2008 19:57

Girls: I like Ellen and Jennifer

Boys: your tastes are different to mine but I would go for Solomon (Sol) or Reuben

Am far too diplomatic to say I hate any of them

scanner · 11/04/2008 19:57

Constance & Reuben

sophiewd · 11/04/2008 19:58

Maude

Albert

ButterflyBessie · 11/04/2008 19:59

Maude
Nell
or Olive

Solomon
not sure I would inflict it on any ds though

SniffyHock · 11/04/2008 19:59

I think Jennifer would be really unusual these days - lovely name. Solomon would be my top boy name from that list.

cosima · 11/04/2008 19:59

Hulababy · 11/04/2008 20:01

PeppermintPatty · 11/04/2008 20:02

Girls - I like Ellen, Maude and Constance.
I hate Jennifer (but I like Jenny and Jen)and Olive.

Boys - love Reuben and Albert. Ivor and Henry ok. Don't like Solomon (not sure why though).

pootleflump · 11/04/2008 20:07

Like Connie and Jen/Jenny.

Only boys name I like is Henry, hate Reuben - just find it really pretentious.

branflake81 · 11/04/2008 20:08

Olive - DON'T LIKE
Constance (Connie) - Like Connie but not Constance.
Maude -Very much dislike
Ellen (Nell) - I like this
Jennifer (Jen) - OK
Jemima - OK

Boys:
Reuben - No, sounds like an old farmer
Ivor - No, sounds like a steam train
Solomon - No, too biblical
Albert - No, too old fashioned
Henry - OK

eekamoose · 11/04/2008 20:08

Reuben and Jennifer

sevgi · 11/04/2008 20:18

Thanks for comments so far. I am sensing most people think our boys list is pretty poor. We have found boys names really difficult so if you hate all ours then do suggest others (but we want slightly unusual yet traditional iyswim).

Go for Ivo - it's beautiful!

But not Ivor (the engine...)

Heated · 11/04/2008 20:40

Albert

Jennifer

But am biased and a wee bit jealous as they are family names that for complicated reasons I could not use.

I like Olive, Constance, Ellen and Jemima. Maude is a bit old biddy for me and Jennifer boring.

I don't like Ivor or Solomon but the others are ok. Henry is my favourite - love it actually!

(This isn't very helpful is it? Suspect you will come out even more confused ...!)
