Thoughts on the name Olive?

Just wanted to hear people's thoughts on the name Olive?

Beautiful name. Here’s my Olive.

My mother was Olive so due a comeback. I like it for obvious reasons.

There are a couple of Olive's at dds primary school, none of them have ever been teased for it.
The On The Buses and Popeye link are old .
Old fashioned names are in, it seems like every other boy i meet is named Arthur, Fred or Alf

@Gingerlygreen ,how do you know? I was teased about my name but I doubt that my parents knew about it let alone other children's parents.

I think it's lovely. I think Drew Barrymore named her daughter Olive and she's pretty cool. Also there was a beautiful actress from the silent films called Olive Thomas who was married to Jack Pickford, a very famous actor of the time.

I like it BUT how much will it annoy you if people mishear and call her Olivia (because that’s the more common name). People are annoying, if they can get a name wrong they will.

Olive - unpleasant shade of green and food of the devil 🤢 Having said that, there is an Olive in my dds class and she is lovely.

I might change my middle name to Jimberley which I prefer to Olive. There was an episode of On the Buses a couple of years ago after Classic Coronation Street...it was pretty awful stuff. Olive was one of the nicer characters.
