Just wondering what you all thought of Amelia Rose (millie) or Tabitha or Matilda (tilly). We like them all really. We want somthing classy and traditional.

Love tabitha with the nickname of Tabby

WallOfSilence · 11/02/2008 19:37

Tilly

cinnamontam · 11/02/2008 19:37

I have a Matilda (Tilda) and she is magic. Everyone we meet loves the name but lots of people starting to use it now...damn them

spicemonster · 11/02/2008 19:44

They are all lovely I would have called mine Tabitha but he's a boy (curses )

Hulababy · 11/02/2008 19:46

I love the name Matilda, and the nickname Tilly - that is top of our list if we do ever have second girl.

I also like Amelia Rose a lot.

Not as keen on Tabitha.

CoteDAzur · 11/02/2008 19:47

All lovely. Amelia is very popular these days. Matilda would be my favourite.

3Ddonut · 11/02/2008 19:47

I really like Matilda, but not Tilly, not keen on Amelia Rose, I like Tabitha but wouldn't choose it myself.

alfiesbabe · 11/02/2008 19:51

Tabitha lovely and Tabby or Tabs quite cute for short. Milly and Tilly are way too popular.

DelGirl · 11/02/2008 19:51

all of them are lovely but especially like Amelia and Matilda is very sweet

mummyloveslucy · 11/02/2008 19:53

Amelia Rose is nice, but I also like Amelie Rose

Wilkie · 11/02/2008 19:57

Love Amelia Rose and Matilda but Tabitha sounds like a cat name

ja9 · 11/02/2008 19:59

for me tabitha will forever be associated with 'Bewitched'...

ilove8pm · 11/02/2008 19:59

got a Tabitha here, love it really suits her! never heard anything negative, lots of comments about how gorgeous it is!

llareggub · 11/02/2008 20:00

I do like Amelia a lot. Congratulations, when are you due?

mummyloveslucy · 11/02/2008 20:01

Yes, Miss Tabitha Twichet from Beatrix Potter was a cat. I still like it though. A little girl has that name at my daughters nursery and she is lovely.

I like Tilly. But just Tilly. I'm not really one for giving one name and using another though

mummyloveslucy · 11/02/2008 20:05

We are only trying at the moment. My sister in law is expecting and is talking about names, so it's got us thinking.

Ah, sorry.

mummyloveslucy · 11/02/2008 20:30

That's O.K. We are thinking ahead just a bit.

Matilda was my first choice for DD2 but my cousin had a dd not long before me and took it, so I opted for Tabitha for my dd2, so those two I love she gets called Tabby alot, and people never fail to compare to bewitched, which isn't such a bad thing as it's the only namesake people can think of as it's pretty rare.

Orchide · 11/02/2008 20:42

Lovely, lovely names. I love matilda and the name will be high on our lists if we have another DD. DD's middle name is Amelia, very pretty.

bogwobbit · 11/02/2008 20:48

Like Tabitha a lot.
Not so keen on the other two.
