I knew a boy called bluey when I was young gel. But he had v blue eyes and I think it was a nickname. I always thought it was superfine, but very erk now.

the girl in the philip pullman film golden compass has blue as her middle name. it is a a funny choice.

dd2 has an imaginary friend called lilac, which i think is much nicer

Blue = sad Joni Mitchell song about daughter she gave up for adoption who she called Blue. Hence lots of children of former or wannaby hippy/folksie types being Blue.
