My nephew is called Indigo, my grandad called him "little boy Blue".
Have a friend who's surname is Blue , so her whole family are Blue!

VictorianSqualor · 07/02/2008 12:55

I do. He is about 28 now. His family thought it would be classy to spell it Bleu, although they pronounce it Blue

ManxMum · 07/02/2008 13:14

I know of a 'Blue Rose' and her sister is 'Precious'

I think they are lovely names for girls

southeastastra · 07/02/2008 13:16

thefunkypea · 07/02/2008 13:16

Know a jack russell called Blue.....

redadmiral · 07/02/2008 13:24

I know of one Blue - don't have a problem with it. There are so many different names at DDs school it becomes irrelevant. (Though I do know someone at baby group who wanted to call her son Blue, against the wishes of her parents. I said I though it was a fine name, and then she said, 'They don't like it because our surname is White'!!)

captainmummy · 07/02/2008 13:25

3andnomore · 07/02/2008 13:38

I actually know a Blue, and at first I thought it was his nickname...but I found out that it was his real name...I didn't even realise that it ws a name, tbh...but then, I didn't realise that Boo was a name neither...so, obviously I am not educated, lol...

Sparkletastic · 07/02/2008 13:43

I know of a middle-aged lesbian lady called Blue but I think she chose it by deed poll...

UnquietDad · 07/02/2008 14:01

God, that is doubly poncy, actually choosing your own poncy name.

Littlefish · 07/02/2008 14:03

I've taught a boy called Blue (probably aged about 14 now), however, I think it might have been a nickname or his second name. I'm pretty sure his real name was William.

I know a girl who's middle name is Blue (sh's about 5 now).

becklespeckle · 07/02/2008 14:07

I know a Blue - he is in his 40s! like the name for a boy

i quite like it (on someone else's kid of course) reminds me of that Joni Mitchell album

seeker · 07/02/2008 14:16

I know a 5 year old boy Blue and a 12 year old girl. Everybody I know who knows either of them thinks it's bonkers. I quite like it - but only because I love Joni Mitchell. Loving Joni Mitchell means that I also love Chelsea - so I am not at all a reliable witness!

Peapodlovescuddles · 07/02/2008 16:47
