Is the name Roy dated and sounded cute?

We are expecting a DS anytime now and I am having second thoughts on the name, Roy.

DH really likes the name but I am just worried that this name is dated and sounded cute?

I know a Roy in his early 20s. It always feels a bit strange on someone his age.

Other than that Roy Cropper springs to mind for me too I'm afraid.

It's currently ranked at 1150 in England and Wales according to darkgreener.
