What is Arthur's sister called?

I feel like I've been through every name in the world and still can't find the "perfect" one.

We're fussy because the surname is long (double barrelled), and so the first name has to be short. Also my family tends to use nicknames, so it has to have a nickname that we like.

We loved Iris for ages, but I hate all nicknames that we can come up with for it. I also love Annie as a nickname, but don't want to give her a nickname as a first name so she can use the longer form when she's older. But the only longer version of Annie that I like is Anastasia, and that feels too long with our surname!

Help!

@donquixotedelamancha

Surely it has to be Morgana?
I'd hate for them to read The Mists of Avalon as an adult and discover the relationship between Arthur and Morganna Grin

There are so many great suggestions here that I hadn't thought of, thanks all.

Our shortlist has just got quite a lot longer!

We have a Martha and reluctantly crossed Arthur off the boy list for her sibling because they just sounded so ludicrous together.

Mythologically speaking, Morgan/Morgana/Morgaine, Morgause, Elaine and Anna. Depends which telling you look at. He never commits incest with the last two.

Iris is lovely. You should go for it, if you really like it. You don’t have to have a nickname. Issy is a cute nickname, but the name is so short and sweet that chances are, people won’t shorten it. When she’s in school, she might develop a nickname that’s not even linked to her name. I was called Long John Silver and it’s nothing close to my actual name Xmas Smile

Dora Winifred- DW

I used to love the cartoon Arthur and that was his sisters name.

It’s actually a nice name I think

Can't believe I didn't think of Dora Winifred! I loved Arthur when I was younger. It's still on too. Smile
