Ignatius?

I've checked previous threads and they're quite a few years old. What are current thoughts on this name? We keep returning to it but wonder whether we should just put it to rest?

We already have a Hugo.

The Hungarian equivalent is Ignac/Ignacz and there was a famous Hungarian doctor called Ignaz Semmelweis who was a pioneer of antiseptic procedures.
he figured out that the high death rate amongst new mothers (mainly during first 6weeks postnatal) was connected to infections due to no handwashing - the same people who helped babies being born had been operating on others or did posthumous examinations and transferred all sorts of stuff...
he's known as "the saviour of mothers"

I remember watching a documentary about this guy. He was laughed out of the profession for suggesting doctors should wash hands in between seeing patients. Think he then suffered a nervous breakdown and died soon after. A really tragic story.

It's obviously very Marmite. But I think that if you know someone with a particular name, usually you see past it and get to like it if you like the person.
