I thought of this name earlier and I quite like it, has anyone heard of it before?
Thought nickname Buck too was cute

I'm going to be really honest with you. It's sounds really chavvy. I'm sorry, I hate using that word but it does sound very council estate (I grew up on a council estate btw).
If you love it you should use it obvs, but you are asking for opinions and that's mine!

Bertramwilberforce · 09/07/2021 13:37

Think of what it rhymes with

Bertramwilberforce · 09/07/2021 13:38

Never mind the bullying with being called bucket etc

GalaxyGirl24 · 09/07/2021 13:38

I've heard of the name before but spelled Buckley.

Heard it as the name of a character in a show called The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

Don't mind it as a name , neutral opinion

Touloser · 09/07/2021 13:38

Awful. Legitimately one of the worst names suggested here for a while.

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 09/07/2021 13:39

I’m sorry @JLE93 I think It’s awful.

SoupDragon · 09/07/2021 13:39

It sounds like a rabbit.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 09/07/2021 13:40

Oh I like it.

BarbaraPapa · 09/07/2021 13:40

No.

BalladOfBarryAndFreda · 09/07/2021 13:41

Sounds and looks made up.

PRabbit · 09/07/2021 13:41

Haha, how chavvy!

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 09/07/2021 13:42

Dora26 · 09/07/2021 13:43

tootiredtobother · 09/07/2021 13:43

BalladOfBarryAndFreda · 09/07/2021 13:43

@ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba Hmm

Germolenequeen · 09/07/2021 13:44

It's the name of my friend's pony 😬

Maddox33 · 09/07/2021 13:45

It's a nice name for a pet but not a child.

Imagine the playground taunts.

I was given an absolutely hideous name that rhymed with something unpleasant and I still remember the chanting. I quickly changed to using my middle name and now leave my first name off any documents.

Sorry mam, I know you named me after your favourite auntie.

Mamamamasaurus · 09/07/2021 13:47

It's a name for a rabbit. Please don't.

BillyShears · 09/07/2021 13:47

That is chavtastic, sorry @JLE93. The spelling somehow makes it worse too- Buckley is bad enough but the ie makes it somehow more awful. Please don’t name a kid this. What about Bradley?

DocDog · 09/07/2021 13:47

Awful.

Cavalierqueen · 09/07/2021 13:48

Sorry but for me in a league with Jaxon

Anoisagusaris · 09/07/2021 13:48

Buckley is a surname. Bucklie is just stupid.

ILoveShula · 09/07/2021 13:49

Buckleigh might be a more refined spelling.
Or go for Buckley's original spelling of Bokkeley.

or for that unique touch Buck-Lee.

I'm fairly sure he or she would be the only one in their school.

30degreesandmeltinghere · 09/07/2021 14:06

Surely it Buckminster??
Buck for short..
According to ice age anyway!!
