statetrooperstacey · 09/07/2021 15:07

No mate. No. But don’t feel embarrassed I seriously thought about calling one of my kids tiger 😂 and he couldn’t have pulled it off!
Buster? It’s a bit better, not much but a bit! 😂😂

want2bemum · 09/07/2021 15:07

Honestly I'm not all that keen, it sounds more like a pet's name to me.

See? You don't get this reaction with James or Peter 😂
statetrooperstacey · 09/07/2021 15:07

Or just call him buck, that’s actually quite cute.

malteasergeezer · 09/07/2021 15:08

JLE93 · 09/07/2021 17:30

Well... I guess my 5 minute bucklie idea is a no go from all the horrible comments 🤣 i actually saw it on a post somewhere and thought it was alright.. and I'm wanting something ie to follow my other children's name endings. Well thanks for all your advice and I won't be calling him Bucklie or buck as I have now been put off🤣

Sounds dreadful.
Looks even worse.

MintyCedric · 09/07/2021 17:44

Buckley's is Aussie slang for 'no chance' eg 'you've got buckleys, mate!' Grin

I had a huge crush on Buck Rogers as a kid though so can't help but feel a bit nostalgic about Buck...Blush

MadeForThis · 09/07/2021 17:46

Why not go with Buckles

KittytheHare · 09/07/2021 17:51

Buckley is a common Irish surname.

crinklyfoil · 09/07/2021 17:51

There’s a film where a character announces ‘Names Buck and I’m here to fuck!’ Grin

crinklyfoil · 09/07/2021 17:52

@KittytheHare

Buckley is a common Irish surname.
Most surnames are place names, professions or family names. Buckley literally is ‘rabbit field’: bucks are male rabbits and Leigh or Ley is old English for field.
2bazookas · 09/07/2021 18:04

poor kid, doomed to be always nicknamed Fucklie. Or Fuck.

ChequerBoard · 09/07/2021 18:10

Hmm Bucklie, a brother for Balonz?

😂 😂 😂

Lilyofthevalleys · 09/07/2021 18:16

Buckley as a last name first name maybe (Jeff Buckley). But Bucklie looks like a typo of Buckle and to my eye I want to read it Buck Lie.

Buckley, not my cup of tea but I’ve seen worse.
Bucklie, sorry but no.
